Quoting: dxmnIt’s a little disappointing to me that the method they used to implement this wasn’t a project like Legendary, but you have to download the proprietary launcher, run it through their custom patched Wine, etc. I’m not complaining as long as it works.Perhaps the legendary team need to reach out given lutris has been around for about ten years

Quoting: peta77If they'd give it modern graphics, I'd grab it. But this pixelated stuff is not something I like. It's kinda the point that it's built on an enhanced build engine. Personally I like the visual style but I am not a fan of the game because I play games for the story and this has none. Because I ve been gaming since the late 80s monster closet games do nothing for me same problem I had with painkiller series

Quoting: pete910Not arguing am saying its the lawQuoting: Whitewolfe80:dizzy:Quoting: EikeNo its not because it doesnt matter the purpose of the game is to be played if you cant then its not fit for purposeQuoting: Whitewolfe80Its a bit merky as here in the UK you have a legal right to refund if something is not of mercentable quality ie a game that doesnt work is not fit for purpose so under consumer rights act you can get a refund regardless of valve of game dev position on it.I cannot imagine this would apply here. The "purpose" is running under Windows, the rest is your problem.
Of course it is ! That's akin to putting petrol in your diesel car then complaining to trading standards that it dont work!

Quoting: kit89I hope they enable it, I enjoyed Vermintide 1 and look forward to trying Vermintide 2 once they enable Proton access. Its a bit merky as here in the UK you have a legal right to refund if something is not of mercentable quality ie a game that doesnt work is not fit for purpose so under consumer rights act you can get a refund regardless of valve of game dev position on it. As its none optional the law is the law the only issue is you will most certainly have to fight for it. As to my knowledge valve is the only one that fallen fowl of it so far and its part of the reason steam refunds are a thing. Australia of course go further and say there is no time period on requesting a refund for a game whatever your reasons are which is why valve refund policy is different in australia and so on. But personally if they but a banner and i mean plastered across the game images game may not work under linux and is not suported.
I don't think many developers will have an issue enabling the feature so long as they can explicitly state they aren't supporting it and for the community to accept that, though I am not certain what the actual legal position is (presumably different on a per country basis)?

Quoting: EikeWell kind of AMD arent making any other apus that feature rdna 2 at the minute that apu is exclusive to the steam deck. remermbering that an apu takes less waffer to make than a full fledged cpu, because of the reduced sizes of the l3 l2 cache compared to full ryzen cpusQuoting: GuestIn fairness, I have no doubt that these preorders are a limited run to gauge interests before they go into mass productionAnd they do the same trick for GPUs an PS5?
No, no matter how many they want to make, there's a supply problem.
