Raising the price not sure thats a good move as to be honest i thought it was overpriced. But i prefer story based fps games. But i hope this does well especially as its a true native game

I haven't watched it in ages, probably since that 9th or even earlier. I guess it was around the same time The Simpsons went downhill as well. Even the new that got released on Netflix is quite 'meh' as well.

Exclusive to Epic store for a year though so they do have time to learn to linux or more importantly they could use that epic money to hire a team of game devs that do know to linux but they wont otherwise they would not of taken the cash deal and they would of annouced it loud and proud coming to mac and linux.

I could see them getting over it/arranging backing to something popular with a good track record, like Mint (LMDE) or something. They're invested in debian/apt/etc already, so at the very least I imagine it won't break away from that easily (and if they did, I wouldn't be surprised if it was at the same point they began reconsidering supporting linux at all).

Valve have backtracked on this now as well and will still support ubuntu but i would of thought it would of made more sense for valve to shift gears to debian given steam os is based on it rather ubuntu

Well its clearly not just me as Valve felt the need to come out and publically state they are fully committed to linux, I have worked at enough large companies for that statement to worry me. If everything was fine you wouldnt need to keep saying something it would be a given yeah why wouldnt it be. Same sort of feeling a soccer manager gets when the chairman gives you the full confidence line in the press. Like I said maybe its just me be cynical but not sure i have have the same rosey picture as most, I hope am wrong.[/quote]I think your cynicism is in this particular case misplaced. They commented because everything obviously wasn't fine, the biggest Linux distro was apparently dropping support for half the games on Steam. Some reassurance was in order. I thought cononical backtracked on the 32 bit decision, after valve said they would be dropping ubuntu.

18:04 will probably be installed on my PC untill support ends.

Rolling distro is good idea if you are linux savy i imagine terryifying if youre not because it sounds good always up to date kernel code and packages but if something breaks its usually a lot of playing around in terminal to fix.
