Quoting: razing32Ok , two things :

1) I am glad others are taking CD Projekt Red's example and releasing free DLC to keep interest in their game alive.

2) Germany ? The heck is happening ? I thought only games with Nazi imagery got banned (for obvious reasons)
nope Germany has very very strong censorship rule anything that features blood and gore for example are rarely released in some games the colour of blood have to be changed into order to get a release.

Quoting: themixturemediaWish they would work on fixing the game on Amd video cards. I tried to play it again last month on my RX480 and was getting around 15 fps or lower at some point. Ran the game on my old GTX 960 and was getting over 40 fps.
Are you using Mesa because if you're not yup that is what you will be getting Mesa is so much better than AMD drivers at this point. But its not an issue for just this game basically on Linux if you are hardcore into gaming you have to go nvidia ideally with an intel processor. Amd performance as gotten way better for sure but intel/ndvidia for now is still the way to go.

Quoting: elmapul.Especially because its a dead system that you cannot buy new anymore.

you cant buy the hardware but you can buy the games
yes you can but i can still also download the rom for free and play it on linux today and nobody is going to kick down my door because of it. I get what you are saying support the porting to linux by buying x title etc but on this occasion i fail to see the point. Whoever holds the rights now to snk games is not the original snk as they went out of business in the late 90's.
you're quite outdated.
they were purchased by an company that didnt knew how to manage the ips, then the original ownerd purchase it again.
nowadays they are owned by tencent, the saame company who owns Riot (league of legends creators)
So my point still stands SNK is dead not the same company also lost interest in these games i saw Fallout 3 and NV are now on gog, going to have to see if i can write a script to get them running on pol

Quoting: zimplex1Why would I spend money on these when I could just run these games in an emulator for free?
Do you have a legal source for getting all these games for free?
Well yes as long a you own the original cartridges you are allowed to download the roms for free, and to be honest its really really unlikely even in America that someone is going to kick your door down for downloading a game that came out in 1992.Especially because its a dead system that you cannot buy new anymore.

Quoting: Avehicle7887Should this happen, I hope they will provide it to GOG. This bad trend of not providing Linux ports to GOG has to stop (Looking at you Deep Silver).
Not just them though GOG has not bothered to port have the dosbox emulated games or really any of the recent EA The saboteur for example works flawlessly under wine, no reason why it should not be native.
