RUNNING WITH RIFLES updated with new vehicles and weapons

Dammit. I just bought a 4-pack. The commando mode brought back too many fond memories of the commando mission in command & conquer. And the multiplayer looks pretty spectacular.

If there's an army forming for a Twitch, and I'm available (Friday's can be sketchy for me), I'll be there.

Is there in-game voice in this, or is it just easier to run your own TeamSpeak/Discord/whatever app to handle it?

rougelike
Roguelike!!

(sorry, it's my pet hate)
No problem, read again, I have indulged you. ;)
Haha, but it's still rouge, not rogue. I don't think he was annoyed by the capitalisation...!

Not a pet hate of mine, but an easy mistake to make.

This article is from Hamish, I think.

Loved the Shadowrun series - the first got me back into the whole cRPG/tactical thing. I finished it, went to Wasteland 2, then waited for a crazy long time before coming (last month!) to play and finish Dragonfall. Superb.

On the strength of Dragonfall (MUCH more interesting storywise than the original), I've just bought Hong Kong.

And yet you're still doing a better job of basic filtering than Valve. That's a thumbs-up from me. All Valve have done so far with their "O/S filter preference" is cause frustration that it doesn't work!

To be fair, it's supposed to work, but the steam client doesn't always respect this setting, especially in big picture mode. Plus, some client updates randomly break it quite often, in my experience (though it seems to be OK right now).
Yeah, sadly this setting only appears to work (mostly) on your primary queue - the one that shows at the top of the page. All the others show Windows games. It's still infuriating enough that I rarely visit steampowered these days. My purchase decisions come from articles on here, or reddit.

If I decide to visit steampowered directly, it's usually through this bookmark:

If only I could get that (and the rest of Steam) to filter out Early Access titles...

Looks like FPS game 'Squad' might be coming to Linux soon
16 Jan 2017 at 12:08 pm UTC

I've heard great things about Squad - people with actual stories of their experiences, as if it were somehow "real". Most of that is because of the in-game voice audio, which is, I believe, positional, such that members further away from you may/may not hear you, depending on how far away you are from them (and fall back to radio in such instances).

Excited to hear that it's a possibility for Linux, but I imagine they'll be facing some big challenges based on the amount of content in this game! Fingers crossed. Would love to buy/play this one - I've been looking for a proper squad-based shooter since I stopped playing Planetside 2 back in 2013.

36 hours to complete the whole campaign with non-lethal force. Loved it. What a game.

Sounds like Neffo got exactly what you were trying to say. I think it was "Steam ignore certain O/S types, such as Wine". And he addressed it by stating that why would they record it, specifically, if they were going to throw it away?

I guess that reply went in one ear and out the other?

My thoughts on the MMO Albion Online on Linux, many months later

Are there PvE only servers, or is PvP baked into the entire experience. If so, not for me, I'm afraid. Happy to play MMOs, but only in co-op.
