Over 120 titles are now Steam Deck Verified

So, press embargo for the Steam Deck lifts on Monday, I believe. Valve has been sending out review units, but it seems to be mostly so obnoxious "influencer" types. Kinda wish they'd have sent out to more Linux people.

Conveniently the launcher is on Flathub so you don't have to bother with "developer mode" and such.

Just spotted this "review". For the sake of all of us, please don't be like this.

THE main thing about VR is not 3D, but that you can turn your head and see what's behind. You're in it, not in front of it. So I think it will work well with one eye.

BTW, I've read that it makes also a gameplay difference for this game (and probably others alike): You don't just see enemies as a dot on some virtual device most of the time, but can turn around to actually see where they are!
Here's a one-eye 3D experiment. (for people with 2 eyes)

Load up the No Man's Sky starfield below and fullscreen it. Press play. Look at it with both eyes open, but cover one of your eyes with your hand so that no light gets in. Just relax your gaze until the stars start to pop. Might not work for everyone.

Heroic Games Launcher for Epic Games on Linux adds gamepad support

Wish Lutris team would do some work to make that a bit more Steam Deck friendly.

On Twitter there was some back 'n forth between Heroic and Bottles about potentially allowing Heroic to use Bottles to manage wine. A stellar idea!

Easy Anti-Cheat gets much simpler for Proton and Steam Deck

There are two arguments against switching on anti-cheat for Linux that I will begrudgingly accept on their own but not together. And by "accept" I mean I accept that the person making the excuse believes what they are saying, not that I necessarily agree.

They are as follows:

1. The 1% Linux market is too small to support
2. If we enable our game for Linux we might get an influx of cheaters

These two excuses can not exist together.

Well done, both Valve and Epic!
It's even less effort for BattlEye and has been for a while now, and yet I can't think of one game that has asked BattlEye to flip the switch.

Thanks. Sadly nothing yet that I am keeping an eye on. Hoping the verification name&shame will help.

Quoting: stormtuxI do not understand if this this simplification will allow both versions of Easy-Anticheat (the Epic Online Services version and the old one, as wrote by the Vermintide2 developers some weeks ago) to work without upgrading the code base?
The announcement says it will work with any EAC and not require any EOS integration any more.
