I think Arch-based would be the sensible option here. Arch-derived distros just seem way more stable and upgrade-fubar-proof than debian-derived ones.

And before anyone jumps in to tell me "it's not the same thing", it very much is. In fact, it is generally recommended for Stadia developers to get the game working on regular Linux first *before* adding in all the Stadia gubbins.

Quoting: Whitewolfe80It's already ported. A native Linux version already exists.Quoting: rustybroomhandleyes but the Proton team is being funded by Valve so again wheres is the motivation to port the gameQuoting: Whitewolfe80No effort for iD means effort for the Proton team and vice versa.Quoting: rustybroomhandleHow can no effort beat effort ? Beth dont want to port to linux so free ports via proton beat no expense whatsoever that way you get even more people buying your game.Quoting: BoldosWonder when Doom: Eternal PROTON fix will come :DHonestly it's probably less cost and effort to just release a native Linux port of Doom Eternal as they pretty much have that already. Silly id/beth though.

Quoting: KohlyKohlI feel most of this content should have been in the game to begin with.If this were the case the game would not even be released yet. Also, if they think up an idea now, they can't go back in time to add it to the game. I understand the feeling of missing content etc, but what you're basically saying is they should not add anything to the game after the initial release, which means fans of the game have nothing new to look forward to.

For Steam Play, there was a 'race condition' that could cause some games run through Proton to end up redownloading. Very annoying, good to see it fixes. This only affected one game for me, but it resulted in a 75GB re-download.

Quoting: tmtvlAs one of the developers that lost money, it was nothing shady, they just went bankrupt. It sucks, but it happens.Quoting: PatolaIn a perfect world, we would have Loki, LGP and Desura back now with no DRM.Wasn't Desura involved in some shady business concerning not paying the developers? Don't know if that's part of a perfect world.

Been keeping an eye on this one. I thought up a zombie apocalypse game with similar mechanics a long time ago, where you manage scavenger crews, but then saw this and am now curious to see how it plays.
