F1 2017 could be on the way to Linux, as Feral Interactive want to see demand for it

I'd hate to be the one at Feral having to make this decision. Over on Twitter, the responses to this question are mostly very positive, whereas here they are not.

Personally I'd rather they port something else.

It has been fixed for a while now, devs must just upgrade their Unity versions.

Geocore, another six degrees of freedom shooter has Linux & Vulkan support

It has the same fullscreen bug as Rust, where you get no input so you have to load it up in Windowed mode. I assume this is a Unity engine bug, since multiple titles have it. If you make it fullscreen once it's loaded, it then works fine.
This is indeed a Unity bug. My games are mostly mouse-driven so it's a bit annoying. I think it might be fixed in Unity 2017.2b2 but I'm still on 5.6.2 so I use a somewhat janky and not 100% reliable workaround.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker, an isometric single-player RPG has reached the goal for a Linux version

Funny thing how personal experiences can influence attitudes.

My own experiences with crowdfunding has been positive in general, with one notable exception: Banner Saga. They did deliver the Linux port, but only barely enough to qualify as delivery. It never worked very well, they never bothered fixing the jank and for me right now it doesn't even run any more. To make it worse - the game is part of a trilogy, for which they are not even bothering to support Linux at all on parts 2 and 3.

Someone also mentioned Project CARS. That's a weird one... they never did a Linux port, but as far as I know this was not promised until way after we (partner & I) backed it. And since their model was an "investment" type thing, we've been getting actual money from them twice a year. Not a lot, but more than I put in, for sure.

Game store itch grows up some more, as Double Fine now have their titles on it

Quoting: GuestHow can they add SpaceBase DF9 to that list? It's abandoned, never completed, and one of the reasons I will never spend my money on Double Fine's games again.
If you did not know what the planned features list looked like you would not have known it was incomplete. You likely would just have thought it was one of their lesser titles. The game does not objectively play like an abandoned/unfinished game. I fired it up not so long ago and it's in a perfectly adequate state. And why should they keep on working on it if it's not making any money?
