Not sure if any of this is related, but previously one had to use Proton Experimental to run it at all, and there was quite a bit of shadow map flickering in some places.

First off, the Deck itself is quite cheap, so it's not unreasonable to expect them to make other things more spendy.

Secondly, yes, you can use the JSAUX dock instead. They let you do that. Nintendo does not.

Ah yes, Discover Overlay, which you install using Discover, which you can also use to install Dolphin emulator, not to be confused with Dolphin file manager.

Give a single example where Stadia have helped the Steam Deck. Stadia is not Linux + Vulkan, it's some in-house proprietary Google API + DXVK that just happens to run atop Debian.

Stadia does not currently use DXVK. I think you have it confused with the new "windows emulator" project they are working on.
