What are "game capsules"?Icons in the shape of capsules communicating information about game features/status. So... game capsule icons? I guess the similar term "badges" does not get the specification badge icons, if it is clear enough from the context.

That said, I still strongly prefer Linux over Windows, because I think my digital systems should not rely on trust for an entity whose sole purpose (like for any capitalist company) is growth at any cost.
I'm glad you've had this experience, but it is always super easy to misjudge probabilities in case of anecdotal evidence (aka stories). In my case my Dell Latitude 5289 with Linux turns on in my backpack. And my Tuxedo Aura 15 gen1 (laptop sold with Linux) randomly spins fans like crazy every time when turning off or going to sleep. I'm pretty sure I've gotten worse battery life as well, but not sure which laptop - and ultimately not confident in these stories.Linux has exactly the same issues as Windows & I think it's usually caused by the firmware (e.g. it got better on Lenovo ThinkPad or HP EliteBook devices after a few firmware updates). Unfortunately S3 often isn't even implemented anymore.I don't know any of the details, I just know it doesn't happen for my laptop (Dell Inspiron i5 gen 8).
In fact, and this is another thing that came up when I was flexing on my friends; I don't believe I heard the fan noise of my laptop, not even once since I installed Linux on the thing a year ago. When it was on Windows, it would randomly spin up the fans like crazy, usually when I'm away form the computer too, like what's up with this thing ?

Even in the best case: they will behave, we will give them power, they will eventually turn that power against us and try to grow more - become more monopolistic. Open-source (copyleft/FLO) means built-in defenses against monopolistic abuse.
If it ain't open, don't ever trust it fully.

They'll never change.Even if they give all the evidence of changing you should not trust a closed capitalist system. Even if they have a healthier culture or leadership or promises - ultimately a capitalist endeavors mission is growth at any cost - the same as cancer. It will grow until it has exhausted and subjugated everything and dies if the support systems can't protect themselves from the cancerous growth.

I think Valve should create transparency and standards of Proton/Native support. So that when I buy a "Steam Deck" supported game, I can count on it being available for a long time and for game execs[1] to have serious incentives to continue Linux support.
Maybe auto-refund (at the expense of the studio, not Valve) for everyone primarily playing from Linux if/when the game execs drop Linux support? That though would have the undesirable consequence of studios being more vary to ever declare official Linux support. But I'd have less official support if the "official" actually starts giving guarantees (ultimately meaning more).
[1] Executives at the game development studio. Commonly called "devs", but technically it is a misnomer since executives call these shots (ideally based on market research and data, but actually also based on vibes). In case of the smallest studios "devs" would be more accurate - where everyone wears many hats. But even then execs would be equally applicable.

This looks very impressive. So much so that I'm worried for them. Although if they can deliver on everything promised, this might be the next big thing for a decade or so.
I wonder what the terms on user creations are? Especially when compared to some other games turned (or attempted to be turned) into game platforms like Warcraft 3, DoTa2, Roblox, Minecraft.

I still use my old sn30pro+ from 8bitdo.Very fair. I think it is an Xbox/Nintendo vs PlayStation thing. I.e. people that are used to different controller lineages have different expectations whether the thumbsticks should be symmetrically positioned or not.
Why is every controller asymmetric i don't like this.

@FutureSuture
I find it a shame that this controller gets so much right but does not support AA batteries like the 8BitDo Pro 2 does.I, too, prefer replaceable batteries. But to be fair - there are both pros (sustainability, longevity, long-term cost, unlimited sessions with a replacement set of batteries) and cons (weight, size, short-term cost) to it.

For me, Vic3 gets the most playtime these months, albeit that too is kinda small. I have a very powerful pc myself, but people frequently cite performance issues, so that might be part of the unpopularity.
Last I played, I quite liked the combat system. Yes, it doesn't meet player expectations who are used to greater depth of mechanics to optimize, but this is a different game from HOI, EU and CK - it de-emphasizes combat by abstracting it.
Is the execution of this idea perfect - probably not (interested of your perspective though @Redje). But I'm very happy that they're trying. I've been wanting a grand strategy (a map game with deep mechanics) for a while where I would get to do more than kill, subjugate and genocide. Arguably environmental destruction via uncontrolled growth and deregulation isn't amazing ideas to spread either, but baby steps forward.
