I would have loved to buy more from Feral and support them...but they were always releasing Total War games. Too many of them! Not my cup of tea.

On your hardware, it should be smooth as butter. Maybe try a different compositor option in Mint's settings? But I never had to change it from the default when I was on Mint. Perhaps it's a driver thing - your card supports Ray Tracing, so perhaps trying turning that off?

Use Steam like this to make sure everything runs on your NV gpu, instead of Intel igpu.

What was there in newer Wine that you were waiting for? Most stuff that is important for gaming gets backported.

I was stuck in Skyrim Dragonborn with a glitch. With the new Proton based on Wine 6.3 now it works and i can progress...
