Played quite a bit of this when it was still Cuisine Royale. It was the only thing that kept me booting into Windows. Lost interest around the time of the name change. Not sure if the changes to the game did it, or I just got bored of it. Maybe time to give it another chance, if they actually work on linux now.
Try the first demo of the dino MMO Path of Titans, we have some testing keys to give away

Does not launch for me. Crossing off for "Show Log Window" in the launcher settings does nothing, forcing windowed mode does nothing. Can't find any logs anywhere.
I assume some missing dependency. What's the point of a fancy AppImage launcher if the game itself is just installed somewhere to run as normal?

Have not tried ED yet, since it seemed to be finicky to get it to work natively, but I bought it a while back. Time to try it soon then!
The thing that keeps me dual-booting is Easy Anti-Cheat. Keeping my fingers crossed for wine support within the next year.

I'm excited to finally try this now that it is released 'for real', I bought and installed it quite a while back. Excited to check out the tycoon angle on this, as even though I loved the first one, it felt like the formula was wearing a bit thin by the end.
The open source game manager Lutris had another sweet update recently

I have not figured out how GOG is integrated at all. Do I still have to go to the webpage to install anything? I installed GOG Galaxy, but that didn't seem to really work, so maybe that's just a lost cause. From reading about 0.5 before I got it, I thought I would point lutris to my GOG library somehow, so I could install anything there through the client, but I guess that's not it.

Personally I'd be more interested to see what the actual changes the lib does, and just make those changes permanently to my system. CPU governor and kernel scheduler could be easy fixes at least.

Quoting: GuestFor my part, the only reason I don't use this tool is because it relies on systemd (it kind of has to, but I use a different init system). It seems this is only because it uses sd-bus. The developers seem very open to pulling a change from anyone willing to implement an alternative. For you, it might be interesting to know that elogind also provides the sd-bus APIs, so you could try installing that. Patching the build system to build with elogind instead of systemd seems to be a one-line change.

One thing to keep in mind as well, is that this was a kickstarted game, so a bunch of people who were interested in this had already bought it ahead of launch.
I assume those people are not included in these sales figures, and are a part of why the developer is so happy with the numbers, the development of this being funded in advance. I noticed in the comments on some other site that people were having trouble understanding how these numbers could support him in the development of his next game, and none mentioned kickstarter (and I couldn't be bothered to register to comment).

I wonder if this also does something for Cuisine Royale. Whenever I boot into Windows for some Quake Champion matches, I try to make time for a few rounds of that as well. Now that Quake is more or less ready to play without reboot, it would be fantastic if both of them were available.
