I think the time of online games like this is mostly over. Or at least for the time being - they are simply not en vogue right now.
I'm honestly surprised CS:GO is still around.

Business-wise, it seems Stadia makes every mistake possible.
Launching with lackluster features? Check.
Launching with myriads of problems? Check.
Launching with few available games? Check.
Non-competitive pricing? Check.

So weird.

This is... well, it is more than before, so that's a net positive.

Quoting: GuestSupporting Lutris/WINE means they have no plans for supporting or releasing for Linux. That isn't news, though, they said that long ago.

Interesting.
I don't know what the current Lutris state of EGS integration is, but if this leads to a very good usability, it might actually make EGS more interesting to some.

Basically, no new pull requests/features/etc. to work on were accepted. But things that were already being worked on with the goal of being done for 3.2 were still allowed.

Quoting: KimyrielleI thought they were feature frozen? Hah, anyway, good to see them adding more things! :)That did cause some confusion.

The thing is that this could have been way more successful than it will likely end up being.
It would "just" have to be better all-around. More time in the oven, really.
It doesn't seem like a "Google Glass" type of thing to me - but even those are still around, just not for the general consumer market.

They don't need to push anything out quickly.
Why even release Stadia in a state like this instead of waiting half a year longer and release with a lot more to offer?

Quoting: subLol, the negativity and scepticism of the article reminds of articles of other news sites when Steam for Linux and, later, the Steam machines have been announced. But this is Google.
Remember when *we* were quite upset that those narrow-minded other sites are so negative about it, when it just has been started and OF COURSE needs some time to evolve and can't live up to the vision just yet? :)

12 launch titles? And just one for free if you pay for their service?
Are they for real?
Who are they expecting to win over with that?
