Lutris game launcher has a huge new Beta update out for testing

Quoting: legluondunetlike I said before, you don't have to give your different games providers credentials to Lutris
And like I said before, that is not an issue.
Forget it, I'll just have to update and find out for myself.

Quoting: Liam DaweUnless I am missing it, there doesn't seem to be a way to connect an account without syncing.

Out of curiosity, what's your issue with syncing?
Simple, I do not want forced automatic syncing.

I only want the games I choose to manually add to be listed. Currently installed version 0.5.7.1 allows syncing on/off per account. My expectation is for this functionality to remain the users choice in 0.5.8 as well. Can anyone confirm? Screenshot in the spoiler.

Quoting: legluondunetMajor advantage to sync: Lutris will download directly game from provider when you will launch a script installer.
But that isn't what syncing is, that's importing from a connected account. Connecting an account is not the same as syncing this accounts game library.

Adding account, adding manual games, having the games download via the account, all great things.

Automatically adding every game in the connected account is NOT fine. I absolutely do not want this! Any chance I can get confirmation on this before updating Lutris and finding out for myself?

Quoting: Liam DaweThere should be nothing stopping you manually adding games as normal
I'm not expecting anything else in that regard. My concern regards automatic syncing of game libraries from Humble/GOG/Steam etc. without my consent. The wording in the article suggests a higher level of automation than previous Lutris versions.

Earlier versions had game library sync as well, a feature I'm desperate to avoid.
I don't use Lutris as a main game manager. For my current use case, I only want Lutris to have the specific games I manually add. Really hope they didn't fudge this up.

Free online co-op survival horror Zombie Panic! Source 3.1 is out with Linux support

Quoting: Shepard62FRthe problem is that the fix is "situational", it depends on which Linux distribution you are using and if you are running Steam "normally" (with the Steam Runtime) or "natively" (without the Steam Runtime thus using your system's libraries)
It's borked for me as well on Debian sid, but simply copying 32-bit versions of libssl.so.1.0.0 & libssl.so.1.0.0 to the bin directory fixes it [External Link] immediately.

Is there a reason why you wouldn't just ship these libs? By preloading the bin directories first (as you already do in zps.sh), it should be solved for any distro.
This is a lingering issue that Linux gamers continuously suffer through and I expect it'll not be gone for a long while yet. I've long since lost track of how many games needed this specific massaging to unbork...
