We Happy Few for Linux and Mac being refunded, to get an "unofficial" beta
12 Nov 2019 at 9:44 am UTC Likes: 4

Well, as Compulsion Games was acquired by Microsoft Games Studios, it's a surprise they still worked on this. Of course it's pretty sad they didn't fully deliver their promise, which again destroys a bit of the trust in crowdfunding campaigns... but having a native Linux beta, though unofficial, is better than nothing.
Okay, if it works better with Steam Play/Proton then I'd personally be fine with it... as long as I can play it, but it makes the work and effort put into the native version more or less useless... blessing or curse.

I'm wondering though, was the rating of the game not that great in the beginning? But with overall rating mostly positive and even recent reviews even very positive I might give it a shot.

Phew, that's indeed awesome! Thank you Overkill, Steam just downloaded the 1.7 GB update.

EVERSPACE 2 is officially funded and on the way to Linux

Yeah, the kickstarter campaign didn't look well for a while. But damn it even got a stretch goal on the last day. So awesome!

The performance issues I had with the demo are also already fixed (there were some unoptimized and expensive shaders), so it should work great on a gtx 1070 (which I had in my notebook when streaming it).

Thanks for watching @thoughtfulhippo and nice to hear you have fun with the MoveMaster :woot:

Starbreeze are reviving PAYDAY 2 development, Ultimate Edition is gone and DLC returns

Perhaps now they're working on updating it again, the Linux version might see some fixes.
I'm a bit worried, let's hope this doesn't mean a drop of the Linux version. When they're struggling this hard, it wouldn't be a big surprise to me.
We've seen this happening a lot lately, more or less all of the same reason...
So fingers crossed Payday 2 will keep a native Linux version.

The Linux port of Shadow of Mordor from Feral Interactive has gained a Vulkan Beta, a massive difference
17 Oct 2019 at 12:30 pm UTC Likes: 1

Feral made a great decision to use Vulkan for their ports when they started porting e.g. Mad Max. That gave them the time to have now some experience with this new API. So is a work being used for Stadia?

Good to see that Feral is still in the Linux business. With the Tomb Raider port coming and giving us here a Vulkan option. <3 Feral!

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition arrives on Linux on November 5th

In times of proton this is still some remarkable news! We haven't seen many native releases in the last year, so I'll make sure they get that little bit extra, when I buy it in their store.

The huge sounding EVERSPACE 2 from ROCKFISH Games is now live on Kickstarter

Community Ambassador Giraffasaur stated on reddit [External Link], the demo does work with Proton.
He also points out that there will be a native Linux version for release, maybe sooner if feasible. But that means interested Linux gamers could back it already and take part in the alpha/beta process.

And they stated on Discord [External Link], they won't use any DRM. So until the native Linux version will be released, we are probably good with Proton to carry us through the development time.

Oh my gosh! I can't wait to get my hands at home on the demo!
Though it might not be Linux native yet, I guess it'll work flawless in proton, which is fine until the officially supported Linux version...
I got my pledge in already, hbu?

Also Everspace classic (as they call the first game now) just got an update on Linux.
