Valve drops support for SteamVR on macOS to focus on Linux & Windows

Quoting: slaapliedjeOh Windows 7 will have diehard people still using it and refusing to upgrade for at least another 5 years. Pretty sure there are still people using XP, and I've even seen a continual service pack being created / added to for 98SE...
I'm still using the "unofficial" Win XP for synchronize/back-up my dad's 11 years old Sony Ericsson phones. :P

If you're self-isolating and in need, here's a bunch of awesome free Linux games

"Sad" Covid-19 everyone... . Officially will been semi-lockdown on wednesday.
So yeah, go to work and go home. No more hanging out with friends after work and classmate reunion on this weekend already cancelled. But at least my nephews and nieces will have two weeks holiday (and more time for them to annoys me :P ).

Be careful.. and always wash your hand.. and don't forget your mask when you'll have to go outside.

My country is totally not perfect, (well look at our politics' last week 'poop'storm). But throught my life, living across 5-6 prime ministers, across many colourful and dark history in my country. If looking back on many past outbreak like SARS, JE, H1N1, and many I don't remember; AFAIK, I'd never seen any "filtering" in the name to maintaining "stability and harmony" or calming down people. In fact, any "filtering" will add more fuel for chaos and instability, at least here.

(BTW, reccurring problems here mainly due is too slow to inform us news or updates due to some archaic breaucracy. Well, getting better thanks to social media, but the problem is still there.)

I know many leadership in many countries around the world will use "fake news" excuses to deny, to calm down and hell even to "filtered" unwanted infos all together. For me, telling the truth and trying as hard as possible to containing or fight this virus from spreading/harming us certainly makes me sleep better, IMO.
Hiding the truth makes anything getting worse.

What have you been playing recently and what do you think about it?

No time to playing any game. 2 days and 2 nights (and still counting) non-stop watching our "political soap-opera" marathon (and no sign this "episode" will be ended). :P

Ok with most result except Favourite long-term supported game. Should be Stardew Valley. :P

Nevertheless, for me it's fine, not bad.

Have a Razer laptop and use Linux? Keep a close eye on this new open source project
9 Jan 2020 at 3:39 am UTC

Not for me but perfectly great for Linux gamers and RGB enthusiasts. Still, kudos to devs.

Kinda off-topic:
Speaking about Razer, I've never buy any of their physical product (Mouse, KB etc.). But, I always use their e-wallets (a.k.a micropayment), Razer Pay [External Link] in daily basis like to buy/order food, Grab (formerly Uber), online shopping, and regularly top-up my mobile phones (yep, I got 3 phone numbers) since Mac/April 2019 instead of went to hawker/groceries to buy top-up slip. Even many brick-and-mortar shops nowadays encourage customers using e-wallets.

Also, speaking of micropayment/e-wallet situation in Malaysia. "loanstreet.com.my" [External Link] have perfect meme/picture on what's going on.

Yep.

Microsoft confirm their new Chromium-powered Edge browser is coming to Linux
6 Nov 2019 at 3:45 pm UTC

I think it's good that Microsoft is moving towards open source software, rather than sticking to their own proprietary projects.
Well, If (and really if) MS really want to show their love towards Linux, they should start by open sourced and/or port Internet Explorer to Linux.

Why? Simple, opening up their own proprietary IP (even obselete one) is the simple but effective way to prove that they're really committed towards FOSS.

You cannot just taking everything without giving up something.

It's sad to see people losing their jobs. But, that's one part of our life journal. Some are lucky while some are not.

Stay strong Abbey games staff. :(

Bought the "Pink Ribbon Charity Pack" DLC already. Because why not?

I don't know about y'all. As myself, I seldomly donating to "the cause" as I can't afford it. So, I used this opportunity to donate. My money will use to fight cancer and I got Pink liveries. Great deal.

Hope you'll also use this opportunity too..

A French court has ruled that Valve should allow people to re-sell their digital games
20 Sep 2019 at 3:14 pm UTC

IMO, two posibilities outcome for future game stores/clients:

1. Return to sort of new style ownership ala physical copies era. (kinda Great)
2. End of software copy and "game streaming" and every new bullshit-ness. (Seriously, I'll quit gaming, in legit way)

Indeed. Interesting times.
