Quoting: BrisseOkay, that's your opinion and your choice, but I think it's important that it's brought up so that people understand what they're getting into with Stadia. Personally I've de-Googled myself almost completely except watching videos on YouTube so it's natural for me to be sceptic about getting into Stadia.
so you dont have a phone? or do you trust apple more than google?
also everything is connected. you dont have to go to google.com to let google know sth about you

who knows.. maybe this side is on a google server, or you have to use some google traceroute to get here, you pressed play on an embedded youtube video.... baammm they got you

they know your IP, with that they know in which city you are, they can look up what this IP did in the past.... lets say 1 hour..... they see you used youtube, and so on..... they made a fingerprint of you

the only way to avoid this is, to use proxies.... change your IP for every website you visist.... NEVER log in anywhere

you just cant hide or are you guys all using proxies, tor, fake mails, never buy anything online

once the data is out..... it is out and it doesnt matter anymore

i understand your concerns, but it is way too hard to hide a digital fingerprint, so fuck it.

what does google see? when and which game i am playing? steam also has this data, even if you are offline
Technically they can see how you play. Whether you go the pacifist route or go full genocide run. Then they can decide (probably incorrectly) what kind of person you are and share that with other people/organisations that should not know that. Just an option.
same with steam
how do you think a game knows, when you get a achievement?

which game do you have in mind?
i mean i kill everything in rage 2....
i threw torches at random ppl in assassins creed.
if you are playing hatred, or postal.............. everyone knows what you are doing

Quoting: NeverthelessYou are beeing closely watched while you play. No privacy setting or alternate software can change this. Even on "shitty" Win10 you can simply go offline and play GOG games. People using Stadia might stop buying gaming PCs and hurt that option deeply and forever.
i dont see your point?
what does google see? when and which game i am playing? steam also has this data, even if you are offline

netflix sees when and which movie you are watching? sooo?
they dont care about me. they just show me: "you already watched this episode"

what data does google get, which they didnt have already?

i use google for searching
i use an android phone
i use google maps for navigation
i use firefox/chrome

google knows so damn much about us. stadia cant make that worse

Will it support linux (Stadia build)? Will the Windows version run on Vulkan? Will it be playable with Proton?
Not my kind of game, but it's still a big title... No? I'm not familliar with the game.

Baldur's Gate III on Steam too... It's probably just that, but the coincidence makes me wonder.
its F2P and stadia is also free. i am not sure if it makes any sense to make F2P games for any other platform than stadia... maybe for slow internet connections

but if you have like 50mbit, why would you download it? you have to be online... duuuhhh when you wanna play it, it takes 0 space on your drive (steam says 105 GB), its completely silent, you dont have to pay for higher power consumption

if stadia is really that cheap, SHADOW will have a hard time

The dev of "Marble It Up!" had intriguing words to say about the native vs Steam Play argument for a Linux version

i think stadia already has a pretty nice library

especially ubisoft using VULKAN is a big step i think

bethesda already does it, enix lets feral do the work

there are a lot of VULKAN games and why would they use DX in the future, when they have to use VULKAN for staida.... and maybe PS5?

when i see how smooth rage2, doom and wolfenstein works on my PC i am looking forward to more AAA vulkan games

Quoting: MaathIt will be interesting to see if any of the games on this list which are already out but not available on Linux become available. For example Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The other two in this series are already available for Linux.
i wonder who gets the money for stadia sells
feral, or enix
