FSR is a great addition ! and linux exclusive feature. I wish we could create some kind of "white list" for the FSR feature, because games with internal scalers doesn't work with the feature. I was trying it with RE3 and didn't know why FSR wasn't working, until Eggroll told me that it wouldn't work.

Quoting: BielFPsThis is simple yet impressive, some people are so used to the "Linux way" of having to write those things that they underestimate the value of a control panel like this where you can easily see the parameters and even discover others you didn't know. Thanks man, actually my work is the easy one. The true heroes are the developers of Mangohud, vkbasalt and replaysorcery. I just try to make things less command line and text files oriented.
Congratulations to the developers and I hope they improve it in a way this feature make Linux more attractive to new users.

Great article Liam ! I still remember the faster zombies article, that thing was really a hit by that time. I would suggest to add a note about CEDEGA [External Link], for those that are old enough to remember, it was the beginning of Linux gaming before steam.

Quoting: slaapliedjeand that costs 50% more than a equivalent desktop... pretty much it.Quoting: WorMzy'gaming laptop' is already an oxymoron, we're going to need a new descriptor for 'gaming chromebook'. :huh:Ha ha! yeah whenever I hear Gaming Laptop, I think "so an overly large chunk of laptop, that you can't ever upgrade, and will be obsolete in a year or two, assuming it doesn't overheat and die sometime before that."

I think this is a huge win for linux gaming. To be honest i think that the chance linux have on the desktop is with on ChromeOS. It's already industry supported, comes from a recognized brand, has a bigger market-share than mac-os already, compatible with android apps and every laptop sold with it is very well optmized.

I agree with all the points. But i would add 2 points:
- revised Big Picture interface:
The actual version get the job done but it seems like a interface from the last decade. I think we need something fresher and and easier to navigate.
- Steampal "certification" program
A certified game could have a pre-ajusted settings for the steampal hardware. Just hit play like a console.

Thanks for the kind words. My father was one of the people that don't believe on covid. Many times i tried to change his mind, but he just doesn't listen. I guess his 72y mind was just to tired. Ironically his vacine shot were scheduled to March 29 at 10AM. the same time and day he was being buried. Never though i would live something like that.

Could this be where Gamescope comes into play?
Let's wait and see, Newell hinted to something, by the end of the year... It felt like it was linked to VR, but maybe it's wider than that?
