I'm running a 970 with 378.13 and I have a solid 60+ fps on the training mission at medium to high settings. My CPU is an i7-4790k. You've got a problem elsewhere by the sounds of it.

Now, I'm not sure how often or successfully that kind of thing has been challenged in court, but you ARE entitled to refunds if a creator defaults on their obligations.

I backed this one. I've reported them to Kickstarter and requested a refund and guess what... no reply regarding either. How can they get away with this?

Scammers like this spoil it for genuine developers as I've not backed anything since and never will again.

I suppose I should make an obligatory comment as I'm using Arch (since 2009) ;)

The best thing about installing Arch is that you learn exactly how your system works - and it can be any kind of install your imagination can come up with. I don't run a DE, for example, my desktop is basically the WM (Compiz), Conky, Cairo-Dock, stalonetray, xsettingsd. Also, as has been mentioned, you have the wonderful AUR (I use Cower and a bunch of aliases for this), the Wiki and Pacman.

I've never reinstalled, only rsync'ed my boot drive when I've had to upgrade the hardware. You will experience problems occasionally but I'd call these niggles and I've never had one I couldn't solve quickly just by checking the forums or Wiki. Call me perverse but I actually like problem solving any issues anyway! If you know what's installed (because you installed it) and why, then it's easier to troubleshoot and becomes second nature (I'm no techie by any means).

It won't be for everyone, obviously, but if you want absolute control over your install and have the latest software as soon as it's updated/released then give it a go.

The full game's too much for me so I bought the Touch version last time. Despite trying hard to keep my team personnel up to date the "transfer market" is proving too difficult so I'll probably get the new Touch instead!

I'm hoping I'll notice the "improvements" in the match engine because the 2016 variety had some annoyances.

Wow, that's really whetted my appetite! I have a 970 so I may settle for medium graphic settings... but then if it's as gorgeous as you say I may have to start "high" and tweak as necessary ^_^

Anyway, I'm only a few days into Mad Max (so unfortunately Deus Ex will have to queue for the moment) and I like to take my time and explore. In fact, I've hardly touched story missions, I'm having too much fun collecting scrap from other drivers!

This was rather easy to install for me on Arch. Two AUR packages - nvidia-sdk and ffmpeg-nvenc. A very quick build later and it's working with obs-studio. No audio though as ALSA recording doesn't appear to work for me.
