There's a good chance this bubble will last for many years.
I'm afraid we should prepare for a long winter.

Very cool game!
This could be perfect in VR as well, let's hope they'll add support for it. AFAIK Godot already has direct VR support.

genAI is like an averaging filter, the internet has been gooified by it, a gray goo of mediocrity, everything is bland, a blanket of blandness is now covering everything, in all domains of artistry.
well, not really everything, GamingOnLinux is a corner of interesting stuff made by humans for humans, and these little corners must be preserved for the sake of humanity.

They should have all the incentives to release it as soon as possible.

Quoting: JarmerI really *WANT* this to actually happen at some point, but I don't believe it ever will. They have a financial incentive not to release anything ever. It's really sad, but .... I will be astonished if anything ever releases anywhere close to what's expected or has been announced. MAYBE they'll release some tech demo as the company is going through bankruptcy in another decade, but I wager that'll be about it.Well, this is Squadron 42, their single player game, not Star Citizen, their MMO sca- I mean game.
I really hope I'm wrong.

PAYDAY 2 devs to ensure it works with Proton on Linux and Steam Deck

They can test all they want, but unless they're willing (and capable) to contribute to WINE/Proton I don't see how this can work.
The game is now officially unsupported in Linux. That's why they removed the native version.
