I think i was reading GoL for at least 1 year, maybe 2, before i actually opened an account or started to be active.

@Liam: if you had to pick maybe the top 5 moments in GOL's history so far, which would they be?
I’m curious too !

With EA back on Steam, you can play Titanfall 2 on Linux with Steam Play

Quoting: Tcheyi cannot disable the notification, and each time i get an "achievement" a pop-up close the game, and i must kill the process and restart.
Well, actually it seems i was stupid : it could’nt save my settings because the folder was read only, obviously...
Now i could play more than one hour without annoying pop-up !

Hi,

The game runs very well via Proton without issue, but one : i cannot disable the notification, and each time i get an "achievement" a pop-up close the game, and i must kill the process and restart. Very annoying, even more as i absolutely don’t care about these achievement (Origin, Steam or any of them).

When i go to the menu, it’s always reset to default (allowing all notification).
Plus, the "origin in game" button is locked, saying i’m in restricted mode.
Checking restriction, i see i’m NOT restricted.
Also, i find the navigation on Origin Launther quite terrible.

So, i’m enjoying the game, and hating Origin more.

I followed this game long ago, forgot about it too...

Now it looks like almost another game, surprise !

What have you been playing recently and what's your pick this weekend?

Hi,

- I’m mainly playing Shadow Empire (from VR Designs, on Matrix Store), via WINE with some tricks (see the forum). An amazing wargame 4X post-apo sci-fi.

- I also play Intergalactic Fishing, via Steam Proton, weirdly addictive even if i have no interest at all in fishing IRL.

- And some Drox Operative 2, but i’m waiting for more updates just not to be "burnt" before it’s released. I loved Drox 1, Drox 2 is about to be "same-ish but better and larger".

Colony building sim 'Maia' has a huge free update with more world simulation

I played Maia many times over its course (years in alpha/beta), and i do love the idea behind it.
Sadly, the execution is bork, bad perf, quite terrible AI, weird GUI choices, makings building un-fun.
However, i keep retrying it from time to time, i want to believe, but so far, no, it doesn’t do it.
Maybe with this update.

On my PC i have infinite loading, it’s not stuck, but it goes around "Loading" texts forever.
I also tried to launch from the folder in a terminal, but i don’t get any message.

This game is a gem in the making. Already played dozens of hours, it’s going to be one of the best of its kind.

Nice reading.

I’m following Veloren and played several versions, it’s quite impressive to see the progress done already.

More interviews on GOL would be neat.
