Aeon of Sands - The Trail is a great dungeon crawler if you like the classics

Quoting: TheSHEEEPFor one, the real-time combat really is the worst of its kind.

Sadly, this part is quite killing the joy for me, i couldn't really like my experience so far because of that.

The MMO Albion Online is officially going free to play next month

The main issue was (is ?) the game is fully oriented PvP, nothing to do beside this. Gathering ? Only good to feed Crafter. Crafting ? Only good for building PvP stuff. Loot ? Only good for fighting purpose. Exploration ? Only... nah, nothing worsy to discover.

I got bored after 2 months, at release.

Also, without Premium account, progress is really slowed down.

Also, the GUI is targetted toward mobile touchscreen, and very lacking for PC users. Just the skills panel is terrible, lot of wasted space, lot of dragging to simply have a look at it. Path of Exile tree is easy and obvious, compared to Albion's one.

Full and only PvP means competition, and friendship stays only until you are not competitive anymore.

MMORPG side, i'm Playing Project Gorgon since 2014.

Cataclysm - Dark Days Ahead, a free and open source turn-based survival game had a huge update

I play it since years, and the big update is great for those who played only with stable (i play with Nightly, so nothing really new for me).

One of the best roguelike around, but also one of the best adverture survival game in the known universe, whatever the support.

Moss Destruction, a fast twin-stick shooter that's pretty tough is now out

It's quite fun indeed.

On the bad side, it's really hard, or i'm really bad. Also, i feel the camera is too close to the ground, and the fog of war too close to the character. And the GUI in menu is... very mobile...

Revenge of the Titans is NOT a tower defense game…

I checked because i thought that maybe i was confused and was thinking about another game. But nah.

RotT fits exactly the Tower Defense genre. Even Puppugames tag their game as a Tower Defense game, mixed with some RTS elements.

That said, you can call it whatever you like, the game is great anyway.

Quite awesome move toward Linux, but why they're doing it ? I didn't read any explanation, unless i've missed them for some reason.

ProtonDB released another data dump, here's a quick look over some February 2019 info

I' ve reported the games i tried, but now i don't have any more game i want to try on Proton, so i don't report anything. I mainly have native Linux games, and overtime, my library went from "Windows only" to "Some Linux" when i was dual booting, to "99% Linux only" since a stopped dual booting about 5 years ago.

Maybe it's the same for many others ? That's a part of why the reports are going down over time.

The beat 'em up 'Streets of Red: Devil's Dare Deluxe' is out with Linux support and it's good

It's a nice game, probably too simplistic, but i like the settings.

What i dislike however, the combats. Real time, grid base.

There is an active pause, but only for the lowest difficulty level.

I really can't get into grid based game that are not turn based. Combats always feel stupid, and even with cooldown on attacks, there is almost no depth to them.
