I played it quite a lot already when it was 1.7 or 1.8.
Now, 1.9 is me playing again... So far, after 4 hours, i just started to craft some copper tools, and found a nice place to settle.
Caves are indeed really improved in this version, as well as the world in general.

I like theses kind of games on paper. I like the art, i like the music, but...
Bastion was boring to watch on video, and i didn't play it but 10 minutes maybe.
Transistor was almost perfect, but for some reason, i never manage to actually enjoy it ! I quite quickly, maybe less than 3 hours of gametime.
Didn't play Pyre.

I play this game since very earlier versions, and it's nice, even if it's really "too" difficult. It has a quite slow character progression, no permanent upgrades to keep between runs and other little annoying things, like the need of specific terminal to craft or spend xp.

I follow this guy's games since... a long time.
This one is fine too, played it several times over the last years as an pre-concept-Alpha-something.

If only they could change the "any 4 Mechs army" and go for "max tonage army"... That's what made my quit the game, when i was starting to search for the "heavier mechs only" and felt something was wrong.
Elsewhere is an in-development game of crafting, exploration and survival that could be interesting

I liked Hearthlands a lot, but i don't feel the appeal for this one. The one "Minecraft" game i'm actually willing to play now, it's Vintage Story.
It will all depend on what is unique about Elsewhere, but i start with a very low expectation. I'd have loved a DLC for Hearthlands, or Hearthlands 2, or anything "similar but better and more complete", instead.
