Tbh, its pretty bad game in my opinion. It looks decent, gunplay is serviceable, but the rest is not for me.
Cutscene after cutscene, tap this and tap that button. crafting menu is idiotic for keyboard/mouse users. Story seems cringeworthy at least from the beginning of the game. No real immersion really. But hey, it works at least for those who care about these types of games. I refunded.

Warhammer Online: Return Of Reckoning wine - My PvP MMORPG.
Portal Reloaded native - Just started to play. Brain melting puzzles there. But lots of fun. Have to use my tiny brain a bit more than usual
Kingdom Come: Deliverance proton - Played about 10 hours.. Runs pretty good, looks good and is pretty interesting story wise.

Woaah... they are asking 59.99€ for this trash game. Triple A gaming in a nutshell.
Saw some gameplay videos, its really awful game it seems.. gunplay is sort of ok it seems except the stupidly narrow FoV. atmosphere is zero, puzzles seem to be made for 4 year olds. There seems to be not much horror in this. Enemies don't even follow you everywhere, so you can reset their positions. Graphis look quite dated for todays Triple A studio. Main protagonist seems to scream and make noises when he sees corpses and whatnot but at the same time just grows a new hand lol. Voiceacting is terrible etc etc
Yeah, i bet if this game had different name than Resident Evil, all would say that its quite a trash.
my 2 cents
nice to see proton supporting new games fast though.

NVIDIA 465.24.02 stable driver rolls out for Linux

ofc more options would be nice but overhaul the whole gui is not what i would wish for. if you look into all the modern GUI designs these days its just

Quoting: Comandante Ñoñardoper game settings are there for the nvidia-settings also, but yeah i agree its not the most straight forward. could use overhaul there ofc.. but other than that i think the linux version of the settings is much more readable.Quoting: XpanderBut it allow you to have per game settings in an easy way... On Linux you can't.Quoting: GeoGalvanicI swear that entire panel needs a major overhaul. I think this is the first time they've touched it in literally years though, so... fingers crossed?pls no! nvidia-setings is pretty good imo, we don't need a bloat or moderninzation of the GUI.. its nice atm. i saw some screenshots what they have on windows and its just awful, so please no.
Is not about the aspect, is the functionality.

Metro Exodus for Linux to run better on AMD GPUs soon with a Mesa fix now merged

Debian testing is fine i think, but yeah i didn't know about the update freezes.
Arch might be too much work, if you don't want to go through all the stuff yourself. So maybe Endeavour OS then. Just keep rolling and rolling.

Quoting: DebianUserI'm pretty familiar with Debian, but there is no rolling variant (it is possible to use testing but its seems to be radical, and testing does not receive updates during freezes). You will have to change your name here then :D Thats the biggest problem.
Maybe Arch is the way to go ?

~11 hours in. So far the game seems fine for me linux. There's the crashing issue on the desert map, which people say is same problem under windows. Had to lower to medium settings for those parts where it crashed there. Other than that solid experience with few gameplay bugs like floating enemies, floating items etc... No mem leaks noticed. always seems to use 8.5-9.5GB of RAM and ~4GB VRAM.
Arch Linux, MATE desktop, Ryzen 3700X, 32GB DDR4, GTX 1080Ti, 465.24.02 drivers and kernel 5.11 with upds scheduler. Game running on 1440p, Ultra RTX Off, FoV tweaked to 70 from user.cfg, motion blur disabled from there. vkabasalt dlssharpness 0.5.
Will give my full review once i finish the game.
Love how immersive it is! Gunplay is solid also.
Nice to see mesa devs are on it, so more people can enjoy this game.

Metro Exodus - Native - ~7 hours of played. Zero issues. Performs good and looks amazing. Story is a bit meh at first, but it picks up. The worst is to get used to the weird english with russian accent.. i could switch to russian with subtitles but then its hard to understand when enemies on the camp talking about your positions :)
Love the gunplay. pretty immersive.
Gameplay from start of the game:
