Quoting: Geppeto35yes, but some more than others. If any, Thatcher, Stalin, Hitler, Pinochet, etc. are on the top list.
Am not British or anything, but putting thatcher in that list seems a bit extreme?

Proton Experimental gets DEATHLOOP working on Linux with AMD GPUs (update: NVIDIA too)

Now all Bethesda needs to do is get it working properly, pc user rating vs review sites is pretty messed up https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/deathloop [External Link] micro stuttering seems to be the pc issue, some say thanks to denuvo.

and so the concerning consolidation continues
I'm fairly relaxed about Embracer doing this. Their historical MO has been to scoop up dead or struggling developers and give them a chance to keep going - a bit of money, a bit of security - but otherwise largely leaving them alone. That seems like a better thing to do than to money hat already successful developers and use them as a competitive cudgel (Microsoft) or destroy them (EA).
This, but sadly they will reach a size that MS or EA gets interested in them:(

NVIDIA 470.57.02 released as the next stable Linux driver (updated)
19 Jul 2021 at 6:31 pm UTC

Although I fully agree nvidia has the better/faster/feature driver I moved to amd about 2-3 years ago. Tbh it was not out of some open source vs closed source purity reason I have to admit. Simple reason was I love my tumbleweed and although there is a repo or you can do it the hardware (kernel sources, build etc) new kernels where always a gamble, checking forums when a new version came out, locking kernel till was sure it would work.... In that respect I am glad I changed over, much more relaxing :)

Quoting: Guesti am waiting for the day when these both go free to play.
Let's hope that never happens, so there will never be micro transactions and we can keep enjoying a game that you buy once and keeps getting updated :)

Heroes of Might and Magic II reimplementation sees a big AI improvement

Now I want to play might and magic 4, and when finished install might and magic 5 and create might and magic world of xeen..... that was back then the most amazing thing I seen, those 2 games together created this world of xeen.... and then sending the special code you get at the end of the game to a postadress in the USA and months later getting a official certificat for finishing the game.....

GOG are giving away the Shadowrun Trilogy for 72 hours
26 Jun 2021 at 4:45 pm UTC

On a small side note, a few golden oldies are going to be removed https://www.gog.com/forum/general/ultima_underworld_12_syndicate_plus_and_syndicate_wars_delisting/page1 [External Link]

The ultima underworld are still available from the origin stores after that but the syndicate games are no longer available anywhere else.

Reminder: Update your PC info for the next round of statistics updates
