I think it was too early to stop wine-ge in February. It does not look like umu will be ready in the near future (latest release is 0.1-RC4 released in April).

Yes, that's probably the reason. It's baffling that a company that always pushes a huge number of DLCs makes such mistakes. Your example of two separate war systems remind me of the people that demand that Euro Truck Simulator 2 should have a paid DLCs that improve the quality of the base map (including older DLCs) creating two sets of maps that have to be supported at the same time instead of going over all the old content slower as free updates.

It's the famous mistake of letting the marketing people choose the specs.

Remember when digital compact cameras got worse and worse every year because the pixel density had to be increased all the time although the sensible limit for small sensors at the time had been left behind some time ago.

This is not related to the donations, but I want the notification system to go away for everything. It is abused to to point of being of no use, since the best action is ignoring it completely all the time. The integrating Dolphin's file transfer dialog into the notification system was one of the worst usability choices I've ever seen.
