Halo: The Master Chief Collection gets Steam Deck support

Quoting: Liam DaweYou've been able to force a different resolution for a while now on Steam Deck.
How? I've just gave it a quick test – nothing has changed. You can change the output resolution in game mode, but not the resolution that is used for rendering. That is fixed and will get scaled to the final output resolution.

Asus announce the ROG Ally gaming handheld

I've read that the new Sony handheld will only be able to remotely play games on a PS5 and it was said that it would be permanently online only. If that's true then that thing will be no alternative at all.

Quoting: mr-victorySteam Deck defaults to 720p even on external monitors AFAIK.
The last time I checked – sometime at the end of last year – it was impossible to use a higher resolution in game mode (the only option for a different resolution was/is scaling). In desktop there is full control of resolution.

EVERSPACE 2 gets a Steam Deck and Linux release update

The German government has been very generous with its new grant program focused on supporting the video game industry in our country. Back in January, we shared that we were given 1.65 million Euros to help produce the first major expansion for EVERSPACE 2, and we plan to match that with our own funds. While our creative team isn’t yet ready to share what this new adventure will be, safe to say this will not be a small expansion.
I'm not sure that taxes should be used that way.

Hm… HDDs in the olden days were a lot less sensitive to ESD than M.2 SSDs. So that might be a case of increased support load.

Quoting: slaapliedjeThis isn't the first time Valve did an 'oops' as far as marketing goes.
It seems that they have too much faith in their partners' promises. I doubt that they would've used both games in advertisements on a whim.

Quoting: Uberkeyserthe EeePC (aka netbook):
That story still makes me sad.

Quoting: UberkeyserEventually there will be a ROG Ally 2, which has a 22 inch screen, that can be folded over a full mechanical keyboard, 4 kg weight, etc,... essentially killing the idea of a handheld console..... but it will runs Windows well :P
Imagine something that folds out into the table that the Enterprise D had in engineering.

It's a shame what has become of the company that made Jak and Daxter.

Quoting: GuestBut makes me wonder why you read those news at all when you already know you don't go there. I don't read the articles about games only available on Steam......
I wonder why some people comment under every GOG article that they only care about games on Steam.
