Steam with Linux now available in Tesla cars (Beta)

The steam logo on the dashboard is interesting.

Does anyone know if everything is controlled by a single device or is there some kind of redundancy? Running arbitrary code on a device that is potentially able to kill someone seems like a weird choice.

What I miss is the option to place a round 1x1 in the center of a 2x2 plate.

If it requires your intervention than that does nothing to raise my opinion of them. I've been a loyal customer since the second bundle (so about 12 years), but the customer experience has been getting worse for a long time. It's easy to destroy trust and hard to regain it. The shift from direct downloads to mostly reselling Steam keys was not a good one.

The newsletters are annoying as well. It is not possible to get a single mail for each bundle. Instead you can either get nothing at all or a constant avalanche of emails (several for each bundle and a flood of subscription nagging as well).

I cannot agree to that. Either they have been selling nothing but non-existing keys for several months now or they're keeping me waiting without a real reason. Either way – contacting them seems entirely futile – you wait several weeks for a reply and then it's always “can't help you”.

I'm not sure if it is worth spending any more time on this. At this point I don't think I'll get the key at all.

I'm not sure if I made a mistake by being patient – the first weeks I simply waited and looked at the page regularly without clicking on the redeem key button that had the exhaustion message above it. Maybe I'm really late in the queue for replenished keys. What bugs me the most is that the game is still available for purchase on the normal store – I've also seen it on sale. IMO that makes them look very shady.

Windows compatibility layer Wine v8.0 has a first Release Candidate out

Quoting: ShmerlI thought winevulkan is simply Wine's handling of Vulkan path. dxvk and vkd3d-proton will have to go through it as well, no?
That's my understanding as well. If dxvk dlls are used the game should behave like a Vulkan game inside wine.

I'm still waiting for a key from a bundle a few months ago. It has always said coming soon. Support took several weeks for a “we can't help you” reply. And then the automatic system wanted me to tell them that the support I received was good.

Saints Row IV getting a free upgrade to Saints Row IV: Re-Elected and store cross-play

As expected, this is a “good news, everybody” announcement! The improved game on GOG contains less DLC than before the “free upgrade”, so if you got the update via Galaxy, old savegames generate an error due to missing content.

Oh, excellent. I just found a post on reddit that claims that the Epic Online Services launcher used by the new update breaks the game.

So it means that my questionmark was right. That unfortunate for the developer.

Probably not supported by the 3rd-party wrapper. Developing anything for Apple systems is a chore and the effort is also running on a deprecation-timer each time.
