Quoting: dpanterOh shit, they may have actually listened to my whining last year? Amazing!
You were not the only one whining. I consider it a personal success, too.

Quoting: MilesIf GameMaker can't make games easily work well across platforms, then maybe GameMaker isn't your gig.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember that Cook Serve Delicious and its sequel are made in GameMaker and they work without any problems (modulus LC_ALL=C).

I think it's really insulting that the developer dragged Linux into the “Apple hates developers and end users” mess deliberately giving a wrong impression.

That's horrible. The shop should have checked if the game requires Steam and after they found out that it does, not have sold that game.

Quoting: 14Has anyone else been having trouble paying via PayPal at GOG? I have been trying to buy a game there for a couple days now.
Not yet, because I haven't tried paying via paypal since they fiddled with the checkout process, but I've read that several people had (or have) trouble.

Are you sure that you are allowed to share that information. I got the impression that it had been rather hush hush and GOG refused to give out any information about it.

Anyhow, I got the impression that he wasn't specifically transphobic but rather offensive all around. I've seen several threads where he insulted and made fun of new customers, but I don't think that was deliberate, either. Just naive.

Tangledeep is great. It's one of the few real roguelikes that has animations which makes it stand out and IMO more accessible. The music is excellent. Caveat: It's made in Unity, so you might need LC_ALL=C if you use a language that has ',' as decimal separator. I'm using the Steam version downloaded through SteamCMD and that version lacks a start script, so if you have 2500 JP instead of 250 JP after character creation, you've hit the same problem.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyI wouldn't know. I have, in the article and thread, testimony from two devs; one seems to prioritize one, the other seems to prioritize the other. I hesitate to extrapolate to "most of them" from that sample, or to make claims which is better from the developer point of view. YMMV, I guess.
A sample size of two is enough for a doctoral thesis in medicine. ;-)

I think the preview image of the video is unfortunate — it shows the worst looking part of the video.

It's great that there is a demo, but I don't like the way GOG has implemented demos in general. I'd prefer to be able to download them without having them in my account forever.
