Glad they clarified their post :)

A bit off-topic : do you think the vulkan specs will be released simultaneously as the steam machines?

Arma 3 Available For Linux In A Beta

Quoting: SamsaiThe game requires GL4.1 minimum so I was not able to run tests on Mesa.
Mesa 11 + latest llvm (maybe even 3.7) should give you opengl 4.1, IIRC.
I'm quite sure there's a ppa or something like that (I am not using ubuntu, so I can't really tell you, sorry).
Since it's not gpu-bound in most cases, there's hope it could perform well on RadeonSI.

Anyway, glad to hear it performs well. However, I'd be interested in knowing what they meant by a beta "just to test how it performs" (or so, I can't remember the phrasing). Would they have considered a native port, or would they simply have abandoned the idea ?

Testing The Latest Unreal Tournament On Linux

@dorsker : will UT be published on steam one day? If so, there should be some integration with their network service, which may explain why this hasn't really been worked on already.

I would be interested in a word from an AMD card owner on its performance, since I haven't been able to launch an UE4 demo without GPU hang (which shouldn't be happening at all, in any circumstance, by the way). For this very reason, I haven't tried UT yet, expecting the same.

The Current Humble Weekly Sale Is A Cracker For Linux
14 Aug 2015 at 7:20 pm UTC

They are good games, indeed. I purchased it, but I would also like to see "bigger ones" in a space bundle. Like Star Ruler 2, Planetary Anihilation, Stellaris (not out yet, I know), or similar.

Still no DRM-free version on the humble store, though :(

I hope it will come there one day, I have a pretty big humble library.

It's now on my wishlist (well.. Sort of). The best (imo) hacking simulation I have tried to date is uplink. Any word on how this title cimpares against it? (besides the fact that it doesnt' seem gui-based :P )

BOMB: Who let the dogfight? Exits Early Access & Released For Linux, It’s Terrible

Looks a bit like crimson's skies. I might like it, after all.

Those issues you are experiencing are weird, though. Is it still in beta ?

GOG Have Supported Linux For Just Over A Year, Announce New Linux Installer System

Looks good, but not really future proof, when everyone will be using "LinuxApps" or whatever docker-like desktop container.

(If that ever happens one day, which I hope).
