Concealed Intent, a turn-based strategy with a rather interesting mechanic for online play

Ooh, that's a nice feature. I wish it was in other turn-based games as well, such as civilization.

Which actually leads me to wonder... Why aren't those game playable trough a browser? I think most of them could use some minimalist interface as well.

I originally learned it wih "Raising Elephants Is Utterly Boring". :D
Read my comment, you forgot the "sync" part ^^

Quoting: g000hHi, Subnautica and Super Meat Boy are 'gone', but Nuclear Throne and the rest are still there. Super Meat Boy is often on sale, so you can pick that up cheaper some other time. Grab the bundle now ;)
Well, to be fair, I already had this one (and a great deal of others).

But yeah, as @Eike said,

Quoting: EikeIt seems both games are back in action!
Thanks a lot! <3

Remember Alt + SysRq + REISUB (http://askubuntu.com/a/36717/31099)

To remember REISUB, you can either:

This has been quite useful for me, especially when coding real-time kernel modules (and inevitably a bug freezing the whole system). It has also been useful when I was affected by a bug related to swap which made turning off super slow (minutes), so I could just turn off the computer safely and quickly.

Pay extra attention to the S (sync) and U (remount read-only) commands, as they are what really make the reboot safe.
Isn't it Ctrl+Alt+SysRq?

I personally used to remember it with "Raising Elephants Is Simply, Utterly, Boring"
Note that some SysRq must be activated before they work. And the kernel might be compiled without, IIRC.

I also like Ctrl+Alt+SysRq+ F

That calls the OOM killer, which will kill the process with the largest amount of memory. That's useful when a program makes the system unresponsive because of swapping.

Otherwise, I think a Ctrl+Alt+SysRq+R might give you back the ability to switch to a VT (that is, if your graphics card didn't completely lock-up).

Back on the topic, it's really nice to hear continued improvement on Vulkan games and drivers. I can't wait to have a Vulkan-capable graphics card \o/ (Vega, I'm waiting for you).

Woops, I screwed hard on this one. I wanted to get back home and use my Linux PC to redeem the keys (Linux purchase and such), then realized that games that I wanted were gone from the bundle (No time to explain and nuclear throne -- maybe subnautica if I have a vive in the future and it get ported to Linux. Strike that. Every game I missed. I'm up for a trade with someone else on these (against key from other bundles I might not have redeemed)).
But what's heartbreaking is that, as I rushed to press purchase (greedy reflexes), I forgot to customize my split :/

Don't do the same mistake as me, but be aware that their steam keys seem to be in limited supplies. I don't know what it means for the game that "may" come soon.

Quoting: xaviMaybe I'm confused but seeing the Top Contributors, there are 500$ contributors and a 3000$ contributor... aren't we collaborating to money laundering of ACLU?
I explain a bit better my comment:

What I mean is... if I collaborate in the bundle, of course I will put the money on MSF. But lots of people from the government will use the bundle to money laundering sending "white money" to ACLU. So, individually, most of us will help MSF and this is really good thing, but the whole platform can be used to wash money related to political campaigns.

I live in Spain, here lots of people from government received 2*500 euros (black money) in exchange for donating 1000 euros. You can translate this news:

That's an interesting scheme, though in that case those were donations to a political party, if I read it correctly? I don't know anything about the ACLU, though, so it might be comparable. Edit: I did my homework, so I will strike that. I'm however not implying that the @xavi is right about that; just that there seems to be a political connotation to the ACLU. In a country that's not mine, furthermore; and I dislike the idea of involving myself in abroad politics.

That's the big question for me as well. Playing it from the VT would be awesome!

Quoting: GuestI'm not giving money to charities anymore, a lot of them are just first world puppets supporting imperialism.

If i want a game i want to pay the developers, if i want to be hypocritical and think i'm a good person by giving money to charities i can donate directly, but not for games.
Well, I give to Médecins sans Frontières (Doctors without borders). I have met a few doctors who work for them, and they really need every donation we can afford to make.
It has already been mentioned in the comments, and I can confirm it's not sketchy.

This bundle looks interesting. I already own most of these games, but some are interesting enough that I think I will take it. Overgrowth, for example. Plus, I'm not against giving to charity. Congratulations to the developers for giving their games to support a good cause.

Valve set to replace Greenlight with Steam Direct

Quoting: GuestI'm ready to see thousands of crappy Visual Novels on Steam. But i'm not ready to see female nipples on them.
To be fair, while I agree on the principle, they would have to make their guidelines consistent. For now, there is a thin line between what's pornographic and what isn't. I seem to recall that this issue was briefly touched during Gabe's last AMA.

For example, you have games such as Genital Jousting, Watchdogs 2 and the Witcher (3). I don't see why nipples should be banned from visual novel while being allowed in the Witcher. I think it's a matter of consistency. But that's not an easy one, to say the least.

Uh? For this particular story at least, the launcher got ported. One of the devs at least was using Arch Linux, and asked for missing dependencies. There's even an official AUR.
