Want to switch from Windows to Linux / SteamOS but concerned about games with anti-cheat on Linux? Here's all you need to know on what you can play.

One big issue with Linux / SteamOS gaming is a lack of anti-cheat support, and it seems Electronic Arts (EA) have future plans for supporting the platform.

EA (Electronic Arts) have announced that EA anticheat is going through a rebrand and refresh, and will now be called EA Javelin Anticheat.

Here we go once again, EA are about to completely break another game on Steam Deck and Desktop Linux and this time it's Battlefield 1.

Well, here's another game that EA will be breaking on Steam Deck / Linux, with EA anticheat rolling out to EA SPORTS WRC when it goes live in June.

That's all folks. EA anticheat has now been added into Battlefield V, so it's the end of being able to play it on Steam Deck and other Linux systems.

Following on from adding EA anticheat into FIFA 23, Battlefield 2042 and Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 we're about to see another game broken on Linux / Steam Deck with Battlefield V.

It's only a matter of time before more and more EA published games move over to EA Anti-Cheat, and now Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is set to get it.

EA has just recently given out more information on their upcoming EA AntiCheat (EAAC), not to be confused with Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) because EA are apparently terribly at naming.
