Always nice to see an indie success story, with Schedule I developer TVGS expanding the team as work goes on towards mod support.
Writing in an announcement on Steam the original developer noted that "TVGS is now an actual game studio" as they've acquired an actual office and a new developer has been pulled in. They're also now recruiting for a "3D/technical artist" as they're hoping to have 4 people working on it by the end of the year.
At the original release it was a huge hit, eventually seeing a peak player count of 459,075 but it has since settled down to see between 20-30,000 peak per day. Still amazing for an indie game that was made almost entirely by one person. There's no confirmed sales numbers I can find, but some analysts put it around 8+ million units sold. Simply incredible.

In the announcement they mentioned their plan for 2026 involves cleaning up the code along with bug fixes and quality of life improvements, in the final round of reworks to help future development and a "vital step towards proper mod support". I can imagine full mod support will be a huge boost for this one.
They're hoping to have a major update out in February but no promises on the date.
