Ryan "Icculus" Gordon, the man responsible for maintaining many development tools like SDL 2 and who ported many games to Linux, is looking for new games to port. The fun thing is, he doesn't require payment since he's funded by his Patreon.

Well now, it's been quite some time since I asked a direct question to my readers. Here we are once again, as I open up the floor to you.

You asked, some of you repeatedly and so I listened. GOL now officially runs a server for Rust and you're all welcome to join in.

I've been chatting to the founders of Parsec, a new game streaming service that allows you to stream games from any cloud machine to your desktop. They just released Linux support and apparently it even works on streaming to a Raspberry Pi.

Thimbleweed Park developer Ron Gilbert mentioned on Twitter how strong the Linux (and Mac) sales have been, and that it would be silly to ignore it.

It seems an Arch update today has broken a few games, several Feral Interactive titles as well as Civilization VI from Aspyr Media no longer run. UPDATED, see the bottom.

A little odd news to start the day today, it seems Games Republic, the store previously owned by 11 bit studios that closed down at the end of last year is coming back online.

I've debated for quite some time setting up my own more generalised Linux and technology site, so screw it, I did it. Announcing LifeOnLinux as a new experiment!

I have been debating writing about this since we are mainly a gaming news site (I should really setup another site for all the other Linux news I want to write about!), but Canonical switching back to GNOME on Ubuntu is very big news for everyone.

Croteam are being awesome as usual, as Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter should get the Fusion update that includes Linux and Vulkan support early next week on Monday or Tuesday.

Dope TrashCanners has just arrived on Linux and after trying it out I'm really quite impressed. The gameplay is simple, but the twist on death is quite amusing.
