For those for whom this is useful information, some of these titles have already been through the Deck verification testing process. Celeste, Cloudpunk, and Scarlet Nexus all got the Verified status. Gears 5 got Unsupported.

I don't know about these bits in particular, but Collabora's expertise and policy is open source first.

We believe that developing the vast majority of software publicly in a collaborative fashion must become the standard. Of course there will always be room for differentiated value; we don't suggest that every line of code must be made public (although that would be nice). Assisting customers maximize their use and contributions to Open Source is our raison d'être.

They already spent those resources. The Stadia version uses Vulkan and runs on Linux.

is it something you will notice while you're scrolling the camera around?

Possibly more so as you're scrolling around. Without AF, textures at an angle (which is most of them, because perspective) tend to shimmer as the camera moves.

They're not removed. You can still download them, you just can't buy them anymore. So it makes full sense to buy them before. I got some games that got "removed", and... why should I care?!?

You can still buy them. Everything's still there, except for the little box that says Linux is supported. And Feral's payment for a "Linux sale" - it's still a Linux sale on the stats, it's just that Feral no longer get paid for it.

During the first non-IGN hands-on session they said that they'd tested Windows on it, and didn't need to install anything special. That's what they'll be aiming for for customers, too - if there's a driver for something that's needed they'll just bung it at Microsoft to include with their install images or other Windows driver mechanism. I don't expect them to have anything Windows-related on the Steam Deck site.
