What games do you want ported to Linux? Feral Interactive want to know again

I wonder what you want with the EA and UbiSoft games, which are not ported by Feral. No way.

In what way ? Or is this another "it's not native/wrapper" BS argument?
...
And how do you think Feral will fix any of that ?
Did I say that?
I have only answered your question.

Hmmmm Let me see:

1. No Launcher (so not realy easy Modsupport)
2. No Advanced Flight Model - helicopter simulation via RotorLib is not available.
3: Limited User-Generated Content compatibility - custom scenarios and mods technically can work in the ports, but it is likely their authors will pursue compatibility with the primary Windows version instead.
4. Restricted update cycle - the beta ports have been updated to version 1.64, but we are not yet sure when they will be updated in the future.

Point 4 is the master point. On which Version is the Windows Version?

Thats the point what he did mean with the VP port doesn't really/fully work.

Resident Evil 4 / 7 / HD Remaster
Shadow of War

A popular online FPS like Battlefield 1 or PUBG

I wonder if we ever get any of these games on Linux (besides Ride of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of War which are likely).
The Dev's from PUBG give a Shit on a Linux Port and they use UE4.
You will never see an EA game on Linux because Origin will never come to Linux. So there is also no Battlefield 3, 4 or 1. Never ever.

The chance that Battlefield comes to Linux is, EA port Origin to Linux.

Paradox are now doing their own game client for downloads, cloud saves, statistics and so on

Quoting: IdleGandalfSo, why do we need such a client again? (cloud saves are possible with steam as well, if that's the selling point for this client)
It's not for us, it's for them.
Yea that much is obvious. Just wondered why the article is so emphasized about the client's features, I don't see its advantage. The only possible usage scenario may be the situation where you don't have any other installed (e.g. steam) and only want to play paradox games. Seems rather far fetched.
You can use it but you don't must, like Oeigiun or Uplay. So where is your problem?

Just remove the config.vdf file and make sure not to save your password until that bug is closed.
Thanks for the link; the latest update there, about "pinning" libdbus, seems to work around it better than the other suggestions.
Hey thx :) Yes this is the better way for me too.

I had the same problem on tumbleweed, starting steam with STEAM_RUNTIME_PREFER_HOST_LIBRARIES=0 fixed the issue for me.
Ok i will try it.
