The SHARGE Disk could be a useful Steam Deck storage sidekick

It looked interesting at first, but I am concerned about the possible noise. There is no such thing as "silent 13000 rpm fan", and in the Mac demo video you definitely can hear it when it's plugged in.

The maximum fan noise currently does not exceed 32dB, which is a very small sound to the human ear and is not uncomfortable.
My ears might be old, but to me that is pretty uncomfortable, especially at a high pitch. But other people's mileage may vary.

Looks very interesting. Very remotely reminds me of Sim Earth, mixed with Spore. Wishlisted.

Mesa graphics drivers 23.1.0 out now with RADV GPL enabled

I'm specifically excited for this rusticl stuff. Not having access to a usable version of OpenCL with Mesa made a lot of things I wanted to play with pretty much impossible. Really looking forward to what it is capable of.

The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki gets a second Steam release, optimised for Steam Deck

I like that it's one of the very few games that actually makes use of all of the RAM you have, while still providing options to limit that. All games should do that, instead of loading data from the disk over and over again, that easily could be cached. :)

Steam Deck and Steam Beta fix on-screen keyboard, Gyro improvements, Linux input fix

I'm still annoyed by the duplicated Collections (both, desktop and deck) and the duplicated controller layouts. Same goes for the still existing bug where it will suddenly scroll up when you are actually scrolling down.
Both isn't the end of the world, but you might think that it would get fixed pretty quickly.

Well, given that they also haven't fixed the inverted rendering of the Index Controllers on Linux after more than a year... *shrugs*

Steam Deck Beta update, plus easy Flatpak updates and more HDR teasing

Maybe a stupid question, but I'm wondering if there is an official way to report issues for the deck?

Since latest stable release I still have these issues:
a) Game collections are duplicated
b) Controller Layouts are even more than duplicated
c) For some odd reason the power button started to behave strangely lately, wondering if it's a software issue

I'd like to create proper reports, like for proton or steamvr, but I don't know where. :)

SteamOS 3.4 is out now for Steam Deck (updated)

Too bad that I've installed a couple of games to my new SD card yesterday and changed Heroic's folders to point to the SD card. The rollback therefore broke my Heroic installation. *sighs*

Anybody knows where I can tell Heroic, that the games are now in a different location? I've found where I can change the path to the prefix, but not the path to the installation itself.

NVM. De-Install game but keep prefix. Re-Install game and chose "Import game" instead of re-downloading. Might be faster to edit a file where the paths are stored, if you need to do this for many games, but could not find it, so that's the best solution I've found.

Is it just me or is the list of controller layout options repeating itself multiple times? Not sure if it came with this update, but I noticed it yesterday when playing around with Heroic.

Edit: Collections also appear twice.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is impressive on Steam Deck

Nice to see that they launch with a discount. I saw it on sale on the Ubistore, but since they were about to launch on Steam, I waited for that. Less hassle, less launchers that can break. If I only had more time for all these games... :(
