I actually had a pretty good time with that, feels quite natural holding down a trigger to select a box with the right pad :D

I am now practicing on turn based games, where I have all the time I need to fumble around, because when I first tried an RTS, it did not go well. I am getting better, so I am sure I will be able to tackle an RTS soon. Because that's an important skill to have in life. :P

Gyro stinks for racing games, because it does not have a natural zero point. It does not try to be straight when you let it go like a joystick would.

Shooter games, on the other hand, are great with it. I use the touchpad for sharp turns, and adjust with the gyro. Headshot!

Yes, I just saw the updates now. Nice to see Vulkan doing well, but my point is still valid. Bechmarking stuff is hard, and you have to be careful not to compare apples to oranges.

There is more to graphics than FPS. It is just as important when you do rendering (synchronisation), how much it varies, and so on.

I guess the most important thing here is that Vulkan is performing well already, and there is place for improvements in the future.

Well, Croteam themselves said that for now OpenGL is faster, because Vulkan is just so new. I am no graphics programmer, but I would guess that their Vulkan renderer is far from optimal, simply because you cannot make optimal solutions in a technology that you just got your hand on for the first time. It's not like there are any real best practice examples you can lear from.

Personally I think the results are encouraging. Properly bechmarking stuff is hard, and plus minus 10 FPS may not mean anything more than that they do the things that are being measured differently.

I saw it some time ago, and was considering purchasing it. Did not, because it's not finished yet. And quite frankly I have lots to play, so I can easily wait for it to mature. Good times. :)

Looks great, and has local co-op. I'm definitely interested. On scale from "hell no" to "hell yeah" in your opinion how playable this is with a couple of drunk buddies? :)

gamingonwindows10.com seems to be unused.

That's because it's a very niche market. Not sure if it will ever take off as a gaming platform.
