MSI teasing a handheld gaming PC like the Steam Deck

Valve has got a second source of money for every sold Steam Deck that nobody else has got, so I guess nobody can compete on their prices using SteamOS. So they have to try something else.

I can imagine that being very useful for stuff like making sure you and all your friends have the same mods when you play an online game together.
Also "mods on desktop" and "mods on Deck."
Isn't this what users here had wished for just some days ago?!?

Quoting: NezchanHoly cow, it's actually coming out? I backed that years ago, and eventually turned off their updates because they were advertising other games too much. So it had completely fallen off my radar. Wild to see it pop up again like this.

Trailer looks decent though.
Yeah, they became a publisher too. The spamming of other games across updates for unrelated games can often be quite annoying, lots of publishers do it now.
Wasn't this something Valve has been frowning upon a while ago?

PS: What I hate about it: All those games I'm following due to a Linux version... announcing their next game, without a Linux version.

Steam Deck OLED hits retail stores on December 12th in Asia

My guess would be that they already are selling all units they can produce, and offering Steam Deck in some more regions hungry for it wouldn't make them more money, but longer waiting queues...

Xorg is dead, long live Wayland - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) dropping Xorg

I'm really surprised to hear KDE has better Wayland support than GNOME nowadays. GNOME used to be years ahead with implementing Wayland, right?

World of Goo 2 announced for release in 2024

Quoting: sonic2kkI couldn't be more excited. Every single one of Tomorrow Corporation's games are a joy to play. If you haven't played World of Goo yet, it goes insanely cheap on Steam sales and is worth picking up. Outside of Linux is a "remaster" on Android (and perhaps iOS), but I recommend sticking to the original.

All of Tomorrow Corporation's games are available on Steam, GOG, and on their website via Humble Bundle DRM free (link [External Link]), all with native Linux support on what I believe is a custom engine based on SDL2 from watching some developer videos on YouTube.

Tomorrow Corporation are the best
Well, some of their games left me with mainly question marks, especially remembering the fireplace game for this... They've got their unique style though, that for sure.
