First look at the trailer a day or two ago had me convinced this was another cynical "everything is kind of awful but with a thin verneer of nice" sort of thing, but glad to see it's something different from that. I like the idea of a kindness-based game honestly, and hope it does well.

Been playing around with the game this week, there's definitely more that needs to be added. There needs to be a game difficulty between Easy and Holy Crap Zombies for one. More stuff to build would be nice too, it seems like you're very limited in structures at this point. But it's coming along and some of the stuff on the roadmap look pretty cool.
And the graphics really reminds me a lot of Lemmings. Anyone else seeing that?

Quoting: IlyaSee my earlier comment about FoV. If I'd gotten it Day One, I wouldn't have known about it before buying and probably ended up sickened by it. The devs don't seem to have taken this into account and are now taking the "this is the best for our game" excuse, which is clearly just a justification for a bad design choice that they don't want to fix.Quoting: KelsNot a Day One purchase though. Cradle taught me not to trust.Could you explain why, I haven't got Cradle, but I'm thinking about it.

Nice to see more games that I bought before I switched to Linux are going to be appearing in my Steam library. Still going to stick with Crea when it comes to 2D standboxes though, since I'm a lot more invested in that project.

Quoting: scaineThe FoV is a huge issue for me since I get motion sickness, and the devs have a pretty bad attitude about it. The fact that it's unplayable by a significant part of their audience is actually a pretty serious issue.Quoting: KelsOh wow, Submerged might be headed to Linux? I'm totally in! I saw the trailer for this a few months back and it has that Ico vibe I've been wanting for ages now. What's wrong with Cradle (apart from a tighter-than-it-should-be FOV)? I thought it was getting generally good feedback.
Not a Day One purchase though. Cradle taught me not to trust.

Would I make a good hunter? Perhaps, but just telling you wouldn't be enough. You might not believe me, so I will need to prove myself. And prove myself I shall. One day. One fateful day.
You won't feel a thing. But the hunt will be complete.

Ugh, here's the dev's response to someone asking if they can change FoV:
Sorry. We set the optimal FOV that more conviniant for Cradle world. An answer like that suggests that they not only haven't put in an option to change it, they're actively resistant to doing so. My interest in the game has dropped considerably.
You can not change FOV.

Quoting: GuestThe AI in this game is worse than shit.Watching a gameplay video, I was amused at civilians who would run away from you for a short distance, then stop and wait for you to catch up. Not that any of the AIs were any smarter, so I guess they were normal in that sense. The only way to cope with a world of bugs, glitches, an increasingly annoying voiceover (seriously, dude is like an emo teenager from 1997) and takedowns that get boring after the third one is to totally shut your brain off I guess.
