Apparently The Garden Path is also going to have a demo out for this, and the dev will be on the official stream on Saturday and again on Tuesday. Louis has always been good to Linux with his games, so it's worth giving some support.

I wonder if it'll stop asking me to re-login after my computer comes out of sleep mode (but only sometimes) even though it's supposed to keep me logged in.

Quoting: AnzaDamn, I haven't finished the playthrough with Green Planet enabled even yet :smile:I consider finishing the Green Planet DLC to be basically the "end" of a run. It's a natural finishing point, since by then I've finished with the challenge and built what bases I want to. Pity getting the vegetation in place is such a grind though. Hopefully they'll overhaul that at some point.

This was one of the last games I played before ditching Windows 7 to come back to Linux again. It's a true gem in the point and click genre, with puzzles that make sense, quality story and voice acting, and -- most amazing of all -- a smart-mouthed companion that doesn't make you want to beat it to death with a sledgehammer.
Highly recommended.

Quoting: denyasisHonestly, if they went all-in on support and put out an official application like SC Controller then I think it would have done far better. As it is, you've got to rely on a third party dev for that, who turned out to be flaky and basically abandoned it.Quoting: detroutWas it patent trolls that took the steam controller off the market, and not poor sales?Sales would be my guess, combined with mixed reviews and poor support.

Yup, it's always better to have a game when it's ready than one pushed to an arbitrary deadline. Less need/excuse for crunch, a more developed product, and a little anticipation is good seasoning.

Not exactly edge of your seat stuff, but entertaining enough.

Quoting: dziadulewiczCities: Skylines also has initiated as an eSport! In fact I watched a Cities Skylines competition (sponsored by Red Bull) over on The Spiffing Brit's channel over the weekend. I imagine this will run in similar fashion, competitors will connect to remote machines set up at various stages of the game and players have to fulfill challenges with those situations. The one I watched was population growth, building a beautiful university, building a beautiful park, increasing cycling, and improving traffic flow.

This is a game that did what I thought was impossible -- it made playing a Berserker feel boring.
I tried it as an archer and that was pretty fun, but the first several levels of Berserker felt so underpowered and slow that it just plain wasn't a good experience at all. Not sure how it is in multiplayer, but on your own not so great.
