Oh, they mean the alternate Commander Shepard. Jennifer Hale is her definitive voice as far as I'm concerned, but I guess he's okay. :P

This looks like it's gonna be really fun. More maps and stuff to do is always welcome.

Quoting: belisama>>The Game features all the gameplay you would expect from an indie sandbox game - fishing, gathering, social interactions, furniture and fashion

Bleh, social interactions. I play games to get *away* from people. Too bad, because the rest of it sounds lovely.
The game is single player, as far as I'm aware, so they probably mean social interactions with NPCs.

Wait, it's finally coming out? I played it on Itch.io years ago and have had it wishlisted since, but thought it was abandoned.

Looking forward to it, then.

It's worth noting that this is the same developer who made Kingdom Ka, which I wrote an article about here on GoL a little while back. I've been following his progress, and he's had some really interesting ideas about random generation on the "world" map and other issues. It's definitely worth following his development blog on the subject.

He's also on Mastodon [External Link], if you prefer your social media to be open source.

A lingering feeling that you're not getting the full story unless you know where to look.
That doesn't exactly sound like a selling point, honestly. It's more the sort of thing I'd find frustrating. Hopefully it's not so bad as it sounds.

Elsewhere is an in-development game of crafting, exploration and survival that could be interesting

From the looks of the YouTube comments, the dev is pretty dismissive of "it looks like Minecraft/test with a few mods" comments. Which, given that it literally does look like that and all he's got is the promise that he's got other things in mind, seems a bit of a bad approach.

According to the update announcing the change, the dev suggests this is part of the run up to the 1.0 release. From what the dev told me, the early game content is finally going to get some attention prior to that, after being largely untouched for more than a decade.

Side-scrolling shoot 'em up 'Origami Flight' now supports Linux

Quoting: liamdaweProbably a good choice to introduce a younger audience to the side-scrolling shoot 'em up genre but not good enough for anyone even somewhat skilful at such games.
I think one problem shooters have is that "somewhat skillful at such games" seems to be the base for them. There's no entry level at all, you just need to already be good somehow (or willing to put up with a lot of frustration) in order to play them in the first place. This would be a good shooter for people like me who simply aren't good at frantic shooters.

I have never seen this played without it being a speedrun. Is it fun to play other ways (like stealth, etc.)?
