Opt out is not the right thing to do. Why not integrate it into a nice welcome application and make it very clear why and what data you want to collect.

One of THE pro arguments supporting the Linux choice are - after all - the freedom that your software does not spy on you.

Quoting: SakuretsuRequiring a PSN Account makes it unplayable IMO.

Not upgrading my original HZD until that bullshit is removed.
I totally agree! Why account (and therefore online) requirement for a singleplayer game?
I will vote against it with my purse.

Greatest revelation - and the only one I'm interested in - would be if it was Linux based.

Even should it be perfectly supported by a Linux distro, I'd still recommend not buying it if it means that you can't unbundle the Windows license. That would send the wrong message.

The Steamdeck was a clear and immediate BUY the moment I heard it will be a Linux handheld.
I (and I think we all) would hope others will jump on that bandwagon.
(And surely Microsoft's 'subsidy' will work against that.)

Quoting: Leahi84I REALLY don't like gnome. It looks too much like something Apple would make. I'll be sticking with KDE for the far foreseeable future.
As someone who has also used quite Apple Devices a lot, I would love if Gnome would act and feel like macOS, however they just imitate iPadOS which I would _never_ like to use on a normal computer. (Ditching the menubar is one - if not the - worst offense one can make in computer usability.)

Both are just too restricted, and while looking nicely are not self explanatory, you have to look for every feature...

So as an (also) Apple (macOS) user I clearly prefer Plasma, or xfce.
