Quoting: Quote from mannyI wonder if frozenbyte in the weekly bundle will add more steam support to their games and not just trine2.When we had someone from Frozenbyte join us for SteamLUG Cast last year [External Link], we got confirmation that Trine at least would be coming to Steam, if that's helpful at all (unfortunately, there's no indication of timeframe at this stage).

Quoting: Quote from SpeedsterPlanning to wait until part 2 is released -- let's see if I hold out that long!I've got a hunch that the events of part 1 will resonate better if it has time to sink in (that's only a guess though - I haven't played part 2 ^_^ )

I got up at 5am to play the beta when it was released. I'm not sure I'm willing to comment much on the game at this stage, but I have enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to my second playthrough of the beta.

I was super happy to be able to support this one when I missed the Kickstarter campaign's deadline by about an hour. It looks pretty promising :)

The new update seems to resolve a lot of the pathfinding and depression spiral problems that previous Alphas had. The underlying features are maturing nicely, and I'm certain this will be a fantastic game long before it reaches release.
A reminder to people that if you come across a Cheeseness in Space Base DF-9, I'd love to see screenshots of my demise :D
Edit: Oh, and cross-platform Steam Cloud stuff is on the todo list [External Link] ^_^

Here's the command you need to run (do it as root or prefix with sudo depending on how you do such things)

Quoting: Quote from hatetobethatguyAh, it seems I'd omitted something from my post. It's actually /dev/input/event*Quoting: Quote from CheesenessFirst up, it needs read (and maybe write?) access to /dev/event* to access input during gameplay (hopefully that's something they're willing to sort out - it boggles my mind a little bit). The menu and environment screens are usable without that, but as soon as you're controlling a "mallet", you're dead in the water. How do I fix this? Bought the game and have this issue, but not too familiar with Linux yet, and Google/DDG has failed me. Thanks in advance.

I can see why a lot of Windows devs feel more comfortable with an installer. It's a more familiar form of distribution and gives the impression that users can't mess up the install process.

Quoting: Quote from stanThanks! The config file was located in the game directory for meAh, yes. ~/GeminiRue is the default install path rather than a configuration path - I should have mentioned that.
