My pleasure :D
I've spoken to a few Linux gamers who've said they don't bother trying demos because they often don't suppose Linux when the full game does.

It's pretty hectic, but still very readable.
I forgot to mention in the article that there's a demo up on Steam which has 5 polished levels of varying difficulty in it, which is worth checking out :)

Quoting: Quote from SabunFrom that trailer video, the massive things that are happening to the environment around you look crazy! In a good way.You can play the story campaign levels co-op and progress through as you would if you were on your own. I believe it's part of the plot that Cactus recruits the other androids to help her as she progresses through the game, but I'm not certain that that's exposed at all in-game.
When you say four player co-op, is this storyline 4 player co-op? Or is it survival co-op without any relation to the story?

During 7DFPS, when I mentioned that the reason I didn't choose to use Unity (spite of owning a pro licence) was because I wanted an all-native Linux workflow, Joe Robins, a Community Evangelist for Unity responded with:
That said, it is positive and hopefully indicates that there might be something newsworthy on this front down the track.
mmm.. We are certainly looking at thatThis on its own isn't news. Companies (smart ones at least) are always looking at options, and that's no indication that those options will be pursued soon or at all - Joe was hasty to point out that it wasn't an announcement.

To clarify on The Fall, Linux support was always going to happen. I've been chatting with the developer (we're getting him on SteamLUG Cast in the morning) and he's pretty committed. The stretch goal was for simultaneous release, which, sadly, wasn't made very clear.
IMO, that stretch goal held the campaign back. A target which didn't value add to the existing target backer audience (PC gamers) is hard to get motivated about. It'll be interesting to see if things pick up dramatically over the next few days with game content being the focus of subsequent stretch goals.

I finished part three last week. Aside from a few pathfinding issues, the only problems I encountered were cosmetic (some awkward lip sync animations and a problem with close ups of dark scenes, such as when fishing in the medbay bin).
We had Marco Rosenberg from King Art join us a couple of weeks ago when we started playing part one for Game Club. They put a lot of attention into making it plausible that any of the characters could be responsible, although people's pant legs tend to identify them in shots where they're presumably meant to be anonymous.
It's a shame you're having troubles, s_d. Where abouts did you get the response regarding excluding Ubuntu 12.04?

Quoting: Quote from HamishWell, in my opinion nothing in the DLC truly equalled the difficulty of that one laser puzzle pictured in the review screenshots. :PHa ha, I found that laser puzzle to be pretty straightforward :D
Quoting: Quote from HamishAlso, keep in mind that the combat difficulty is way down in Hard Times as compared to the original, which in my opinion evens things out.Yeah, combat difficulty (and combat encounters in general) is down, though IMO, the increased prevalence of dexterity puzzles (exemplified by the box conveyor puzzle) fills that void.

Thanks for updating this with some thoughts on the DLC.
I found it pretty challenging - there were a couple of puzzles which had me stumped at first (in particular, I spent a long time on the first robot encounter, and there were a neat set of power node + force field puzzles which had me scratching my head for a bit). On the whole, I'd say that the difficult is quite a step above the original game both in terms of skill and thought based puzzles (which may be a comment on the difficulty of the original game more than the DLC itself?).
I also was disappointed by there not being any story component to the DLC, but I did find it enjoyable ^_^
