Quoting: slaapliedjeSo if you're like me and have high resolution / refresh rate monitors that also require display ports, get a card with three of them.
Or buy monitors that support MST / DisplayPort 1.2 daisy chaining. You could also get a DP hub, which is much cheaper than a new GPU. :)

Quoting: NanobangIt looks like everything shown is cosmetic only, is that the case? Also, will this proposed system allow for earning "credits" thru play as well as purchase? Or is this a richer-kids-have-cooler-cars setup?
It's all cosmetic, and always has been.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition released with Linux support

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI'm happy (and surprised) to report that winner is the Linux version!!!
Good job, Feral!

Sadly, I can not test the Linux version on Windows 7. (And If it is possible, I don't know how)
You can't test the DX12 backend on Windows 7 either, right? The game is supposed to run better with DX12 than DX11 for most users. I've seen benchmarks that indicate more or less equal performance across the operating systems on both Nvidia and AMD hardware. Feral did a great job.

How To: Fix American Truck Simulator not displaying on Linux with the latest update

Is this only on KDE? The update works just fine for me.

EDIT: Or does this only happen if you haven't played the game previously and the config doesn't exist?

Quoting: GrifterWorkshop support isn't fully implemented sure, but 100fps sounds like an insane difference; I have a tweaked ini file for rocket league which coupled with using __gl_threaded_optimizations gives me ~200 (150-250) fps in a match on ancient hardware (i5-750, 980), if you want to try my ini let me know.
I think that's only for Nvidia right? I have an AMD graphics card
Try the "mesa_glthread=true" environment variable. Might or might not make a difference. I think I've limited the game to 60 FPS and I don't see stutter except when a player spawns in, so don't really care myself.

Oh boy, I really hope Feral can get enough cash out of this game..
That's a little unfair of Square Enix to do that so soon after the Linux release.
Maybe so, but this wasn't exactly hard to predict based on the discounts Square Enix tends to give their games a year after release.

Fast-paced shoot and loot FPS Black Ice adds a big new area and grenade launchers

Quoting: Purple Library GuyBlack Ice . . . I think that's a William Gibson coinage, which has stuck through all kinds of cyberpunk-themed books, games and so on.
He did use the term in Neuromancer and the sequels, but apparently Tom Maddox [External Link] is the one who coined it.

Quoting: GuestWhat i wonder is if the 3950X will work with not too expensive cards like the ones with B450 chipsets. Somewhere else i read a lot of people satisfied by their 3700X + B450 or X470 motherboard. Sometimes even with a 3900X.
Pretty much the only notable difference is PCI Express 4.0 support, which might or might not be worth it to you. I got a X470 board myself and used some of the cash I saved on better RAM.

Alwa's Legacy the successor to Alwa's Awakening announced with a Kickstarter campaign
7 Nov 2019 at 3:52 pm UTC Likes: 1

I found the control scheme in Alwa's Awakening a bit awkward. I was a beta tester, and there were moments when I might have given up if I wasn't one, due to what I felt was a completely unnecessary source of frustration. In the end I'm glad I didn't. I completed the game and mostly enjoyed the experience.

Won't back this one, but will buy. I have no doubt they'll get funded.

Quoting: QoAaDI note the Linux download is still available, so I'm not sure what the state of the game is supposed to be. It sounds like they may have missed actually disabling the download there though.
The problems amount to performance problems and instability using the default OpenGL backend and one glitchy shader as far as I can tell. The developer tried his best to fix it all, but I guess he couldn't get it all shipshape before he had to move on to his next project. Launch with -force-glcore42 and the game works just fine, at least for me.
