I'm sad I'll no longer be able to enjoy the latest KDE and Plasma. Such is life on Kubuntu LTS.

Quoting: Whitewolfe80Nah, I'd rather not do that on an LTS distribution. IIRC Canonical backports kernels from the interim releases to the most recent LTS, so I'll be getting newer kernels on my install eventually. If having the latest kernel was super important, I would've stayed on EndeavourOS.Quoting: CyborgZetaNow that I've left EndeavourOS behind and am back on Ubuntu LTS, it will be a while before I'm on the 6.0 kernel. It also means it'll be a while before I can buy and enjoy one of the new Intel GPUs.Or you could go crazy and install the kernel yourself
I'm a patient man though.

I have no use for a dock myself. My Steam Deck is strictly a handheld. I have my desktop if I want to play on a monitor, and my consoles for my TV.
But hey, for people that want/need the dock, it's good to see it's finally becoming available.

I dislike NVIDIA, and will never buy any of their GPUs.
However, I do think this is good news.

It was SteamOS followed by Arch, according to this. Unless, of course, you're combining Ubuntu 22.04 and 20.04 and just ranking "Ubuntu". Steam treats different Ubuntu releases as separate, as do I, but eh. It's not something worth arguing over.

Quoting: CatKillerThat's not what it showed for August, based on Liam's last survey article.Quoting: CyborgZetaInteresting that Ubuntu's back in 2nd place, and both Ubuntu 20.04 and Linux Mint have disappeared entirely.Ubuntu was in first place last month.

I absolutely love KDE and Plasma, and I'm glad Valve is helping to show them to a wider audience.

I wish all Cloud gaming would die.
Call me a dinosaur, insult me, whatever. I don't care. I will never accept streaming games from someone else's hardware, in addition to the "always online" mandate. People who mandate an Internet connection are people who've never had to deal with a spotty connection.
