Plasma 6 lands in Arch Linux, KDE neon teething issues and Plasma 6.1 heating up

well, it's out for Tumbleweed, but ... it did NOT go well for me. In the middle of a zypper dup it just crashes the entire DE to a login screen. every time. repeatedly. Even after reboot. Had to snapper back to an old snapshot to fix it. It left my system with half installed Plasma 5.x and half 6.0.

edit:
I got it to work! Currently running plasma6
I received some awesome support from the official forums, and they suggested I dump the DE and go down into system terminal by hitting ctrl-alt-f4 and doing the zypper dup there. It worked. Love that community!

oh man this brings back fond memories of playing DoomRL with my buds on the couch. That was a LONG time ago. Might be time to see what improvements have been made since.

LOVING this game so much on the Deck. Can't recommend it enough. I don't think I've played this much on the deck since Dredge.

So close! Very much looking forward to this. Loved the first one, and it was absolutely gorgeous to play, so this should be even better. Looks like I'll be able to do "high" settings with good framerates, which is fine by me.

Quoting: ViciousNarwhalTried on Nobara and upgraded wonderfully! Impatiently awaiting upgrade on Manjaro now that Arch updated.
When I was on Manjaro (years ago) it took them AGES (for a rolling distro) to do a push with the new plasma updates. I think it was almost 4 months after release. For a rolling distro that was insane to me.

I'm on Tumbleweed now and am patiently waiting, but I bet it'll be very soon.

been losing countless hours in Last Epoch. Did some speed leveling this weekend in the monolith starting at around lvl 40. That was kind of a mistake I think, because after doing like 10 stages, and leveling up like 15 levels, I equipped all my new gear and affixes and went back to the campaign. It's SO BORING now. It's just a walking sim now. I'm a falconer, but there isn't even a point in using my main attack (bombs) because the bird kills anything that moves instantly. Even elites. For bosses all I do is stand still, smoke bomb, and spam attack. I don't even have to move.

LOL.

I do LOVE the monolith though! Some of those stages are so fun clearing. Right now I'm just trying to get through the campaign as fast as possible.

Quoting: Cerberon
Quoting: GuestIdk why emulator devs are dumb enough to do this kinda stuff in the West. Its the same with pirate sites/groups - if you wanna do this do it in a place where US jurisdiction can't reach you. Like Russia, Belarus or China. If Yuzu was in Russia/Belarus/China it would be untouchable.
If they hadn't set up as an actual company they would have been a lot safer also, it's a lot harder to sue 5-10 anonymous guys contributing to a git repo.
A company makes you liable.
This is what I don't understand. Like who in their right mind would think setting up an official company for this was a good idea? I just can't fathom it.

Of course this is ultra shitty from N, but they're KNOWN to do exactly this, so .......... everyone could see this coming from day 1.

I hope yuzu lives on on the high seas! I would love to play TOTK on my computer with high frame rates and ultrawide screen. As opposed to like 25fps at 1080 on my tv.
