Thank you very much for this article! It was super helpful getting it installed. I'm downloading it now, but I'm sure I'll just hit a massive queue.

Quoting: Whitewolfe80Atari, your skin is hangin' off yer bones.Quoting: jordicomaWhat? Atari is alive? I thought that only were releasing their old games and the vcs.I mean kinda it's more like a company bought Atari name back in the early 00s so it's more like they are a corporate company wearing Atari corpse
It's a zombie company eating another company. Hopefully don't become a zombie too.

Game looks and sounds great, but I have had SO MANY bad experiences on kickstarter I just can't support it there. I will wishlist it when it hits steam EA, but other than that I wish it good luck.

Interesting update for sure! I remember adding this to my wishlist years ago - honestly had forgotten all about it. I wonder how it compares to Space Haven.

I was able to setup an extremely specific filter for the bow I wanted and I can ignore the rest. Same for filtering out a certain set of rarity items that fit my class and ignore the rest.
Love it.

Quoting: scaine... Last Epoch has the most incredible loot filters I've ever seen in a game. You effectively build a firewall ruleset out of loot filters, line by line. Sure, that could be a single line saying don't show tier 1 or 2 items. But it can also be insanely complex ...WHOA! Thank you so much for saying this ... I normally wouldn't have even checked this out, but because of your comment I did, and MAN ALIVE. This loot filter is a game changer. And I mean that in the very literal sense of the phrase. I don't know how I can ever play any other ARPG without a loot filter like this again. Instantly spoiled by it. It's AMAZING.

This feels like a really good combo of the best parts of D3 & POE. I put some hours into it this weekend, and am looking forward to playing it tonight as well.
Also worth a mention: Wolcen just got a HUGE update, so not sure if that's gotten better or not. Might try it too.
EDIT: holy crap, nevermind on Wolcen, just tried it, it's a mess in many ways. Awful experience. Fired up LE right after and it was nice and smooth. Wow.

Quoting: GuestHow's the game? Is it any good compared to Torchlight?I'm going to guess you mean TL2 from forever ago, and not whatever hot garbage a completely different studio released within the last few years. The ancient TL2 is amazing, but definitely a different feel from this.

If you go into steam for the game, and force it to use proton experimental, the game will do an update then it fixes all the texture stuff. Character choice screen is fine, etc... I played it a bunch yesterday without any issues at all. Really liking it!

Quoting: 14It's been on my wish list for a good while now. If I'm being honest, I might not pick it up until a year after release. I haven't even purchased or started Elden Ring yet, which is the next major single-player game in my plans. I'd also say Starfield is in the yeah-I-probably-want-that category and not must-have until I hear reviews from critics and friends. Not a bad idea, especially since by then the community will have fixed a ton of stuff via mods.

The wiki entry for the game says that Bethesda has created a new iteration of the beyond ancient Creation Engine. And that they'll be using this "Creation Engine 2" for Starfield, TES6, and Fallout 5.
All I can hope is that ultrawide support will finally be implemented (it was not for Creation Engine 1 - it required hacks) and that they can finally fix the quest destroying bugs. I can live with minor bugs like visual and mechanical bugs, but when quests get all jacked up and can't be completed, that bugs the everloving shit out of me. We shall see!
