Wadjet Eye Games brings Shardlight over to Linux

It does look like they are being updated now though.

The Blackwell Legacy that already was available natively have a new Linux build up, and Unavowed which was only Win/Mac now lists Linux too after a recent change:

Quoting: PublicNuisanceIf they answer your email ask them why they aren't bringing them over to GOG.
Judging by their attitude, i think that if they can save even a minimal effort, they'll save it.

By the fact that now that the deck is approaching they are "porting" one game a week, one can conclude that it is an easy task. (ags is opensource and they use it to run their games, probablly with some minor modifications.)
But... up until today, they left us in the cold for years.
Why should they move their fingers a bit more to upload to gog too?

BTW i think i played most of their titles via vanilla ags.
Did I miss something? All except this one* does seem to have Linux builds on GOG?

* The Mac build isn't on GOG either so I guess it's a work in progress situation.

Quoting: dziadulewiczSome are saying in social media that all these purchases still count as Windows purchases, though? What are they on about or what might they mean? :dizzy:
I guess they are confused?

According to https://www.gamingonlinux.com/steam-tracker/

"When buying games from Steam, how is the desktop platform counted? From what Valve told us (February 2020), they first take the desktop Steam client platform used to buy it, then whatever has the most playtime in two weeks. However, Android and Web Browser purchases default to Windows and then what has the most playtime in two weeks. If you want to ensure developers see a Linux sale: play it only on Linux in the first two weeks, don't buy it and leave it."

Indie store itch.io comes out swinging against NFTs

I'm still not clear on NFTs.

Monkeys are involved at some level, that's clear. Going by the name, non-fungi, mushrooms are however not. Very confusing.

I guess I could watch the video, but then again, maybe that's exactly how they spread?

Here's a leaked copy of the memo the Wadjet Eye Games CEO sent out:

Valve has tested 'thousands' for the Steam Deck, 60 currently Verified

They are using GStreamer.

Proton does not use your system libraries, it uses the Soldier runtime, Breaking out of the container and finding suitable system libraries for video would probably both be hard and something of a compatibility nightmare.

They could have licensed a proprietary H264 plugin for GStreamer but seems to have decided not to. This solution with re-encoding the videos does seem more cumbersome but it's probably better in the long run.

I'm just excited there still are new single player FPS to be excited about!

Also, they totally need to add some effects to have the Roomba smear blood all over the floor when its done killing - to make it officially dope!

Quoting: BeamboomI purchased a hotas a while ago to play with Elite Dangerous - but I never got it to work. Steam didn't detect it.
Did you have to install some special software to get it to work or was it detected by the Steam client right away?
Try disabling Steam Input for the game.

I had a similar problem with a racing wheel and a specific game and this made it work.

It's a fantastic project, but, I think, desperately in need of a better name!
