Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI wonder if this fix the Fallout 4 audio issues...
I gave it a quick spin, and it did seem to hold together when I used a plasma rifle on full auto. Went around Diamond City a couple of times causing trouble, and it seemed that the audio didn't have any issues. Will have to do further testing of course, and would love to get those FAudio patches for mainstream wine as well.

Quoting: ShmerlAlmost finally. TW3 should get a workaround for missing stream output in the coming months.
Fantastic news, can you share anything more? Timeframe, what will get worked around, how, that sort of thing? I look forward to visible Sirens and Rotfiends and things of that nature.

I've had long standing issues with this game where it would just freeze up in the main menu while the music plays. Haven't been able to play for months now, and I really like this game. Anyone had similar experiences? I'm on nvidia drivers with a 970.

Looks flaming brilliant. Me want. Anyone find any gameplay videos yet, or is it a bit too early for that?

Quoting: ShmerlWhat engine does it use? I wonder if you can run it with Vulkan renderer.
The original used Unity, and I'm fairly sure this one uses it too. I'm looking forward to it, but...money!

For me, sirens in witcher 3 turn into weird glitchy blobs in the sky. Weird, but progress from completely invisible.

I can't install most of these packages without removing a whole lot of vital stuff. Anyone else having luck on ubuntu 16.10?
I'm using NVIDIA, I realise this screws up my chances of successfully using this mesa ppa. Only just caught onto that. Sorry.

Does anyone else have problems with the game not launching due to a missing librtmp1.so.0 error? I've sent a report in to Feral, no response yet though. I actually got to run it once, got myself soundly thrashed pretty quick.

I really wish they'd worked out mod support for the linux version of this. I wanted black knight mode, with the limbs being chopped off and whatnot, and other cool mods too. A shame, but still a fun game.

AMD officially announce Ryzen 7 CPUs for launch on March 2nd

Quoting: morbiusUpgrading my PC is well overdue, but I will hold out a little longer until Ryzen R5 comes out with 6 cores. With the price of around 250 euros it should be in the sweet spot. Add about 100 euros for a motherboard and as much for 16 GB of DDR4 RAM.

One thing missing is the graphic card, but for that I might have to wait. Nvidia's Volta should come out in May, mid-range offerings probably in the summer. AMD's new GPU architecture should come out as well, I just wish situation with the drivers for Linux was not so bad, right now they offer better bang for a buck, but only if you're running Windows.
Don't radeons chew up a bit more power than nvidia? Also the driver situation for linux has a sad, sad history of being a tad deficient. I don't know if it's getting a good deal better or not, but I remember having to compile kernel modules for Mandrake Linux and having them break every other boot. Fun times.

Wouldn't mind being able to go with a full AMD setup, but the odds aren't good, especially as I have a nice nvidia 970 at the moment. Want to pair it up with a halfway decent cpu though.
